TE December 2016 Release

I stamped and die cut the hearts with the Filled with Love Stamp & Die Combo set and attached them to a panel, which I had stamped with a sentiment from the set. To keep the hearts in a straight line, I used the panel from which I’d die cut the hearts as a guide. This card was super easy and quick to assemble.

Hello! Welcome to Day Two of the Taylored Expressions December Sneak Peeks featuring products designed for creating Valentine’s Day cards as well as classroom/friend treats! The December products will be released Thursday, December 8 @ 7 AM PST!

I’ve got three Valentine’s Day-themed projects today. My first features the Conversation Hearts embossing folder.

TE December 2016 Release

To create the background, I inked the Conversation Hearts folder before dry-embossing the Strawberry Milkshake cardstock. To the front I added the Brushstroke Valentine sentiment and two hearts created with the Filled with Love Stamp & Die Combo set, keeping with the conversation heart theme.

I used a similar technique on my next card, pairing the dry-embossed background with a different sentiment.

To create this version, I inked the Conversation Hearts folder with Strawberry Milkshake ink and dry-embossed Sugar Cube cardstock. I stamped Strawberry Milkshake cardstock with the sentiment from How Sweet It Is and paired it with the die-cut Loved Script.

Hello! Welcome to Day One of the Taylored Expressions December Sneak Peeks. Love is in the air! This month’s release features products designed for creating Valentine’s Day cards as well as classroom/friend treats! The December products will be released Thursday, December 8 @ 7 AM PST!

I’ve created two cards to share today. My first card features the Floating Hearts Cutting Plate. Be sure to scroll to the end of the post for a promotion of this TE Web Store exclusive.

TE December 2016 Release

To create the card, I used the cutting plate die to cut the Sugar Cube cardstock frame into which I added the hearts cut from colored cardstock in a variety of colors. Once all of the pieces were in the frame, I put Scotch tape on the back. I heat-embossed the Brushstroke Valentine sentiment on vellum, which I then cut with a circle die (carefully applying liquid adhesive under the letters to attach the vellum to the die-cut panel).

Penny Black Simplicity Triple Love Die – 2 Versions

Today, I’m sharing a two Valentine’s Day cards featuring the Penny Black die 51-187 Triple Love.

The first is CAS (and quick-to-create) card:

Penny Black Simplicity Valentine

I cut the overlay from silver paper with the 51-187 Triple Love die and adhered it to a panel, which I had colored with Distress Ink spray and drops of gold spray mist. I added the panel to a dry-embossed card base. Lots of options here – change the background behind the panel, use a different dry-embossed card base, …

The second card is an inlaid shaker card:

Penny Black Triple Love Shaker Card

I created the background with three strips of pink cardstock from which I cut the Triple Love in the center. I cut the Triple Love piece again from white cardstock and inlaid it into the card panel. I backed the overlay with acetate. I used foam tape (backed with white cardstock) to create a chamber for the sequins. The panel was then adhered to a square card base with foam adhesive.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
