TE June 2018 Release – Sun and Fun

Hello! Welcome to Day 3 of the Taylored Expressions June 2018 Release Sneak Peeks. Today my projects focus on 4th of July and the summer sun. The June 2018 release products I have been sneaking this week will be available tomorrow – Thursday, June 7 @ 7 AM PDT!

One of my color scheme favorites is Red, White, and Blue! I created a 4th of July card which could also be used for a summer birthday.

I stamped and heat-embossed several of the fireworks images in the Freedom & Fireworks set on Watermelon cardstock and cut it with the Land of the Free Die.
I die-cut and heat-embossed cardstock cut with the Happy Script die and adhered the die-cut to Heavyweight Vellum cut with Happy Script Backer – Mixed Media Die; with this release, a number of the word dies now have backers.
I stamped and heat-embossed the birthday sentiment from Peek-a-Boo Birthday on Blue Corn cardstock and cut it with a die in the Double-ended Flag Stacklets die set.
I dry-embossed Sprinkles cardstock with the Lots of Stars embossing folder for the background.
To finish things off, I added a flag cut with the Little Bits – Flag die.

My second project is a CAS friendship card featuring the Sending Script die.

I die-cut and heat-embossed Oreo cardstock cut with the Sending Script die and adhered the die-cut to Cut & Color Me – White Chipboard cut with the Sending Script Backer – Mixed Media Die.
I sponged Lemon Meringue, Pineapple, and Candy Corn inks through the Rise & Shine Stencil on Sugar Cube cardstock. Without removing the stencil, I added Moonstone Nuvo Glimmer Paste on top of the ink.
I inked Sugar Cube cardstock with Lemon Meringue and Pineapple ink, stamped the Sending Sunshine sentiment, and cut the piece with a circle die. I then cut it in half to form a half sun. I attached this piece at the bottom of the stenciled panel.
To finish the card, I added flip flops cut with the Little Bits – Flip Flops die from Oreo cardstock and Sugar Cube cardstock colored with Candy Corn ink.

TE June 2018 Release – Let’s Chill

Hello! Welcome to Day 2 of the Taylored Expressions June 2018 Release Sneak Peeks. I am sharing two CAS summer-themed cards today (both featuring popsicles). Mark your calendar – the June 2018 release products will be available Thursday, June 7 @ 7 AM PDT!

My first project showcases the Chill Out stamp set paired with the Block Party – Popsicles and Little Bits – Frozen Treat dies.

I stamped and heat-embossed the Chill Out sentiment on Blue Raspberry cardstock.
I stamped a die-cut Block Party – Popsicles with the Chill Out stamp in Guava ink on Guava cardstock.
I cut one additional popsicle with the Little Bits – Frozen Treat set (designed to work with the Block Party – Popsicles set) from Guava, Sugar Cube, and Toffee cardstock. I assembled the popsicle.
I used several patterns from the Hello Sunshine 6×6 Paper Pack above and behind the Block Party – Popsicles strip.
I cut a frame with the Frame in Frame Cutting Plate to tie everything together.

My second CAS card combines the new Chill Out stamp set with the previously released Popsicle Stacklets die set.

I cut the popsicles with the Popsicle Stacklets set from Guava, Pineapple (a color introduction with this release), Candy Corn, and Toffee cardstock. I assembled the popsicles.
I stamped the Chill Out sentiment on Sugar Cube cardstock cut with the largest die in the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets set.
I added Salt Water Taffy ink to the panel with the Bubbly stencil.
The card base was covered with one of the patterns in the Hello Sunshine 6×6 Paper Pack.

Taylored Expressions – Let the Sun Shine

Hello! Welcome to Day 1 of the Taylored Expressions June 2018 Release Sneak Peeks. This release is all about summer and includes products for a number of summer-related themes such as 4th of July, Tropical, Under the Sea, and Food & Drink. The TE June 2018 release products will be available Thursday, June 7 @ 7 AM PDT!

My first project is tropical-themed and showcases the Do the Hula Stamp & Die Combo and Liquid Watercolors (yes – Taylored Expressions will be carrying these, and there’s information about a promotion at the end of my post)!

I stamped and heat-embossed the hula girl and her skirt and colored her with a number of the TE Liquid Watercolors. Once dry, I cut the images with their corresponding dies.
For the background, I sponged Sugar Cube ink on Blue Raspberry cardstock (new color intro this month) with the Set the Scene – Clouds Stencil.
To complete the scene, I added a palm tree cut with the Build a Scene – Tropical set and a heat-embossed sentiment.
I used a strip of the Hello Sunshine 6×6 Paper Pack along the bottom for a colorful ground.

My second project is sea-themed and showcases a super cute set – O-Fish-Ally Awesome.

I stamped and heat-embossed the whale image from the O-Fish-Ally Awesome stamp set and colored it with the Liquid Watercolors. Once dry, I cut the whale with its corresponding die.
The card background was created with two stencil sets – Set the Scene – Waves and Bubbly. I first sponged Salt Water Taffy ink on to the background with the Set the Scene – Waves stencil. Then I added Moonstone Nuvo Glimmer Paste to the panel with the Bubbly stencil (masking any part of the stencil that was above the top wave).
The O-Fish-Ally Awesome sentiment was heat-embossed on the background panel.
To fill out the scene, I added die-cut sea plants cut with the Build a Scene – Underwater die set.
And those bubbles above the whale? Those were cut with dies in the Snowman Shaker set!

Hat’s Off to the Grad

Hello! Today, I am sharing a die-cut graduation card showcasing Taylored Expressions products including the Build an Emoji and Caps Lock – Grad die sets.

Here’s how I made the card:

I cut the emoji with the Build an Emoji die set from Lemon Meringue, Oreo, and Sprinkles cardstock.
I assembled the emoji and added a grad cap cut with the Little Bits – Hats Off die.
The background was cut from Sprinkles cardstock with the Shining Star Cutting Plate.
I placed the emoji grad and die-cut Grad Confetti on a circle, cut from Sugar cube cardstock with one of the Stitched Circle Stacklets dies. I adhered the assembled circle to the Shining Star background.
I added the GRAD letters, cut with Caps Lock – Grad from silver foil cardstock, with foam adhesive, to the background.
I added the assembled panel to the Oreo cardstock card base.

Hello, Beautiful

Hello! Today, I am sharing a card featuring the Simon Says Stamp Spring Flower Burst stamp set (part of the Sending Sunshine release) colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.

To make the card:

I stamped the Spring Flower Burst images with Intense Black ink on mixed media paper and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I colored first with a darker color and then with a lighter color; for example, Persian Blue blended with Light Blue and Wine Red blended with Pink Flamingo. I used both the cluster floral image and individual floral images from the stamp set.
I cut the images and adhered the individual flowers over the cluster floral image with foam adhesive for additional dimension.
I colored the card panel background with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink and added the blooms to the background.
I scored the card base on the left (not a tent-fold) and added the floral panel to the card base.
I heat-embossed the MFT Essential Sentiments sentiment on Black Licorice cardstock and cut it with one of the banners in the Extra Sentiment Banners set. I added the sentiment banner over the floral images.
