Taylored Expressions Feb 2018 Release – Rain or Shine

Hello! Welcome to Day 2 of the Taylored Expressions February 2018 Release Sneak Peeks. The spring- and Easter-themed  products will be released Thursday, February 8 @ 7 AM PST!

For my first project, I created an encouragement/friendship card combining die-cuts, new and old, and a fabulous sentiment from Rain or Shine.

I colored Sugar Cube cardstock with a variety of TE inks to create the colors of the rainbow, which I cut with the Rainbow Cutting Plate. I used the Raindrops embossing folder to add texture to panels in the upper-right and lower-left corners. I cut the When It Rains umbrella from Oreo cardstock and inked cardstock. I stamped the Rain or Shine sentiment and then cut it with the one of the Build-a-Scene Rolling Clouds dies. I also added clouds cut with the Stitched Cloud Duo.

For my second project, I created cards with the 3 x 4 Watercolor Panels – Easter set and a decorated envelope.

I watercolored this sweet scene from the set, and added Cookie Monster ink around the edges before attaching the panel to a card base on which I used the Playful Patterns – Sweet patterned paper.

Similarly, I colored the Happy Easter panel to which I added Pretty Pastels sequins for texture.

Taylored Expressions Feb 2018 Release – Bunny Hop

Hello! Welcome to Day 1 of the Taylored Expressions February 2018 Release Sneak Peeks. This spring- and Easter-themed release is filled with new goodies! Mark the date – the products will be released Thursday, February 8 @ 7 AM PST!

My first card features the Block Party – Bunnies die paired with the Little Bits – Marshmallow Bunny die and a sentiment from the Squishy Hugs set.

I cut the Block Party – Bunnies three times to create a panel on to which I added the bunnies cut with the Little Bits – Marshmallow Bunny die. I cut a frame with a die in the Frame in Frame Cutting Plate set to cover the edges. I heat-embossed the fun Squishy Hugs sentiment and added it to the bottom of the frame. The card base was covered with one of the fun patterns in the new patterned paper package Playful Patterns – Sweet.

My second project today uses the Bunny Pop die to dress up lip balm. I have several variations. Let’s take a look!

Taylored Expressions Feb 2018 Release

My first version shows the simplest way to use the die for lipbalm packaging. I simply cut the bunnies out of colored cardstock and the scallop piece from Sugar Cube cardstock.

You can also stamp cardstock with a background stamp, which I did with Happy Flowers, or dry-emboss the cardstock, as I did with the On the Spot folder.

I also used the Playful Patterns – Sweet patterned paper to create the bunnies.

Finally, I stamped a sentiment from the Quick Critters – Spring Stamp & Die Combo to show how easy it is to add a sentiment.

Newton’s Nook Cup of Cocoa

Hello! Today, I am sharing a winter-themed card created with the Newton’s Nook Cup of Cocoa stamp set. I just could not resist this set and plan to use it again this upcoming fall and winter.

I stamped several of the hot beverage options and colored the images with Copic markers and colored pencils.

For the background, I stamped the sentiment and applied Tumbled Glass and Hickory Smoke inks to the background with a Clarity Brush. The card base was dry-embossed with a Taylored Expressions embossing folder.

Happy Birthday – Simon Says Stamp Picture Book Animals

Hello! Today, I am sharing a birthday card created with four of the Simon Says Stamp Picture Book Animals – Cat, Bear, Panda, and Dog.

After die-cutting and assembling the animals, I inked a panel with several Distress Oxide inks and cut it with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Cloud Backdrop for the background. I inked another panel and cut it with one of the Arched Stitching Borders. The arched border covers the bottoms of the animals. I stamped the border with a sentiment in the Lawn Fawn Grand Greetings set (now retired).

I can’t wait to create another card with one (or more) of the Picture Book Animals!

Simon Says Stamp Ornate Background – Count Our Blessings

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS encouragement/friendship card that showcases the Simon Says Stamp Ornate Background stamp (there are so many different ways to use this stamp!).

I clear heat-embossed the background and applied a variety of Distress Oxide inks to the panel including Abandoned Coral, Peacock Feathers, Wild Honey and Twisted Citron.

I white heat-embossed a sentiment from the You Got This set on dark gray cardstock popping it up with foam adhesive.
