Penny Black: Fall Cupcake Toppers

Fall is definitely upon us here in the Pacific Northwest with cooler temperatures and rain. I’m celebrating the change of seasons with some Pumpkin Spice cupcakes adorned with toppers, which I crafted using one of the adorable stamps from the Penny Black Halloween release — Halloween Critters set (#30-185).

Penny Black Halloween Cupcake Toppers

I think these toppers could work equally well for a fall birthday or Halloween party. The image was stamped with Versafine ink and clear embossed. I colored the owls with Copics in seasonal colors. The owl images were then cut with a circle die and adhered to scallop circle die-cuts. I taped a bamboo stick to one of the scallops and adhered it to the other scallop with a thin dimensional square.

Poppystamps: Autumn Thanks

Today I’m sharing a card crafted with some of the new-release Poppystamps products. While a lot of the new collection focuses on the winter holidays, the Viva Tree die caught my eye for a fall-themed card.

Poppystamps: Autumn Thanks

I love the colors of the autumn season! I die cut the tree four times and then selectively cut leaves and adhered them to the tree “base” using Glossy Accents. The background was created by sponging Distress Ink through a circle mask. For the “thank you” sentiment, I masked off part of the “So Much” sentiment stamp to keep it simple!

Be sure to visit the Poppystamps blog as the Design Team continues to showcase the beautiful new release!

Supplies:

Penny Black Collage

Today I’m sharing I card crafted with a variety of Penny Black dies and stamps, which I’m calling a “collage.”

Penny Black Collage

The butterflies were stamped with the Letter Background (1999L) and then die cut with Flutters (51-006). The two background tags were first stamped with Indian Wheel (40-202) and die cut with Tagged (51-007). The sentiment was heat embossed using a stamp from the Friendship (30-160) set. Finally, I created a mask cut with the Dots (51-009) die and sponged selected circles with white pigment ink.

I finished off the card with silk ribbon, dyed with Distress Ink to match the cardstock and twine.
