Today I’m sharing one of those cards I made just for fun. I wanted to make a card with the birch trees in the Paper Smooches “Autumn Groves” set. I guess the leaves are all gone from these trees! I heat-embossed the birch trunks on dry-embossed cardstock. The brown background is also dry-embossed.
I’m really enjoying making fall-themed cards. I love the colors and textures of the fall season.
Supplies: A Muse Studio embossing plate, Stampin’ Up cardstock, Stampin’ Up embossing powder, May Arts twine, October Afternoon button
Jennifer Wilson of Simple Scrapper has just opened the Simple Mini Books shop. I had the honor of creating a mini book documenting my grandmother’s life with the Everyday Sweetness 6×6 Scrapbook Kit. Be sure to check out the inspiration in the trailer – the kit lends itself to a wide variety of themes and styles!
I’m over at Neat & Tangled today with a paper-pieced quilt decor project using the cottage stamp from the Sweet Home set – head on over to check it out. You’ll also want to check out the newest addition in the store – the delightful Graveyard Shift stamp set.
This week’s CAS-ual Fridays challenge, sponsored by Neat & Tangled, is to create a Clean And Simple project that is black and white plus one color of your choice.
I’ve always liked the combination of red, black, and white, and the Lawn Fawn My Cup of Tea teapot looks so cheery stamped in red!
Supplies: Spellbinders label die, Divine Twine, Stampin’ Up black cardstock
