Living the Salt Life

I’m constantly on the lookout for nautical-themed stamps and dies. Today I’m sharing a card celebrating the “salt life” in which I’ve combined products from several different companies.

Living the Salt Life

I used two CottageCutz die sets- Pelican and Seagull – to create the seagull standing on the pilings. I colored the die-cut pieces with Distress Inks so that there would be greater variation than I would have achieved had I simply cut the pieces from colored cardstock.

The waves were created with Distress Inks and a Memory Box stencil. The sentiment is from Impression Obsession’s Nautical set.

  1. Hi Jean. What an adorable seaside scene you’ve created. Such beautiful and vibrant colours for your stenciled water.

You left a message on my blog asking about my craft mat … sorry, don’t have your email, so leaving the info here. It’s a large mat from Dick Blick (black on one side, gray on the other). Loll 🙂

  2. Great card Jean. I love the effect of the inking of the waves – great colour variations. Love the seagull too 🙂
