Penny Black Simplicity: A Sweet Wish

Hello! Today I’m sharing a card showcasing the Penny Black 30-344 Sunny Wishes stamp set. I created a “sister” version of this card (similar design but different technique) for the Penny Black Simplicity site. I hope you’ll head over and take a look.

PB Simplicity

I heat-embossed the floral image with white embossing powder twice (rotating it) and applied Distress Inks in yellow, coral and pink.

I cut the panel and attached it to a background which was dry-embossed with a woodgrain embossing folder. The sentiment from 30-358 Happy Snippets was heat-embossed on black cardstock.

  1. I loved this so much on instagram that I had to come over and pin it as a reminder for another card I’m making. Such a pretty idea! 🙂

  2. Did you use the Distress inks before you stamped the image, and which color inks did you use? Thank you.
    This card is beautiful.

    1. Hi Sue, I first heat-embossed the images (same image heat-embossed twice) and then put on the Distress Inks – Squeezed Lemonade on top and Picked Raspberry on the bottom. The in-between is Worn Lipstick and Abandoned Coral.
