Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS card created for Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #269 – a color challenge.
I created the background from Stampin Up Gumball Green (retired) cardstock, stamped with the Hero Arts Candy Stripe Bold Prints stamp in VersaMark ink. I used a Lil’ Inker square die set to cut it. I stamped the Hero Arts Winter Wishes sentiment on white cardstock, which I cut with one of the My Favorite Things Snow Drifts dies and a circle die.
I stamped Stampin’ Up Melon Mambo cardstock with a now retired Hero Arts background stamp (whose name I have searched for and been unable to find) in Taylored Expressions Sugar Cube ink, and cut it with the mitten dies from the My Favorite Things Warm & Fuzzy set. The background circle was cut from SU Soft Sky. To finish the scene, I added one of the Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes.
I like color challenges a lot. I would have never combined these colors otherwise.
This is so cute!! I adore the little mittens and the addition of the snowflake is fantastic.
Cute winter card! The green and the pink are great together!
Jean, this is so clever, love your snowflake to tie the two mittens together and the background you created with the candy stripe stamp! the colors just pop out at you! Fantastic card! Thank you for joining us at Merry Monday!
This is really pretty Jean! Perfectly CAS! Thanks for playing with us at Merry Monday.
