Hello and happy September! With fall in the air, I’m making Halloween projects! It’s one of my favorite holidays, in fact, I’m fond of fall in general.
Today, I am sharing two projects created with the September Small Die of the Month kit from Spellbinders – “Eek-A-Boo.” This adorable die set is perfect for all sorts of Halloween crafting – cards, treat toppers, scrapbook page elements ..!
My first card features two trick-or-treaters – the ghost and skeleton boy.
I triple-cut the letters in the sentiment for extra depth and added the centers to the letters, cut from Whip Cream cardstock, for better visibility on the teal patterned paper background. Have you noticed how teal has snuck into the Halloween color palette?
On my second card I paired the devil with two ghosts on a vertical card. For one of my very first Halloweens, I dressed as the devil.
I used the ghost die to cut the ghosts and then I lined the die along the bottoms of the die-cut ghosts and trimmed off a little bit. I felt that the slightly shorter ghosts looked better on the vertical card. Again, I triple-cut the letters in the sentiment for extra depth.
For the background, I paired a dry-embossed panel with patterned paper.
You were a devil?! I would have guessed a princess. I love that ghost die and you have shown a way to make it more versatile. Great patterned paper!
Fabulous papers for your scenes.
Too cute, Jean – just love your trick-or-treaters with the ghosts!!
