Spellbinders Walrus Valentine

Hello! Today I am sharing a Valentine that showcases Woliver, a walrus die set from Spellbinders.

I cut Woliver and the iceberg from cardstock and assembled the items.
I cut the heart from patterned paper and added it to a patterned paper base.
I heat-embossed the Fun Stampers Journey “Sending My Love” sentiment on black cardstock.
I added hearts cut with a die in the Festive Wreaths set to fill the space.

Paper Smooches Challenge – Anything Goes

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS Valentines-themed Thank You (a Valenthanks?!) created with Paper Smooches products for their Anything Goes Challenge featuring the Cozy Coffee die set.

Because take-out coffee cup colors are often black, white, and tan, I knew I needed some color on this card from another source. I found patterned paper in my stash and started building from there.

I heat-embossed the Winter Sampler sentiment for additional polish. I often forget what a little heat-embossing can add to a sentiment.

Penny Black – Watercolored Little Charmer

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS Valentine card featuring Penny Black supplies from the “Share the Love” collection.

I stamped the #30-662 Little Charmer bear image in Versafine ink on Cold Press watercolor paper and watercolored him.
Once dry, I cut the bear with its companion die (I’m thrilled that Penny Black is creating these companion dies for many of their images).
I sponged Squeezed Lemonade ink on to a 3 3/4″ x 5″ panel.
I stamped the #30-667 Love Language sentiment in black ink on the panel.
I added the panel to a white linen cardstock base and added the bear to the assembly with foam adhesive.

Elizabeth Craft Designs – Winter Birthday

Hello! I recently posted about how I’m trying to embrace winter this year rather than resist it. To that end, I am making winter-themed projects including this birthday card featuring Elizabeth Craft Designs dies.

I cut the Polar Bear from soft finish cardstock and colored him lightly around the edges with the Hickory Smoke ink. I colored the eyes and mouth (I used the Paper Smooches Snowman 2 die for the mouth) with black Copic marker. I then assembled the bear.
I cut the Polar Bear’s hat and assembled it.
I cut the balloons using the Balloons and Party Accessories die sets.
I sponged Tumbled Glass ink on to the card base.
I stamped the MFT Ready Set Snow sentiment in the upper left corner.
I added the balloons and bear to the card base.

Paper Smooches Challenge – Anything Cold

Hello! Today I am sharing a winter card created for the Paper Smooches Challenge – “Anything Cold”! I’ve been working to embrace the season rather than move on to spring! I’m even cross-stitching snowmen.

I began with the snowman’s hat, inlaying the four colors into the frame. I then constructed the scarf and the snowman’s body.
I cut the snowflakes from white and colored cardstock. Note to myself – the snowflake die set has five dies. However the center of the largest snowflake also cuts the small snowflake.
I stamped the sentiment with blue ink and cut the sentiment with a circle die.
My original background was gray. The gray went with the other colors, but it didn’t energize the card at all. I swapped it out for the patterned paper after I had the card assembled!
