Hello Card with Forsythia

Hello! Today, I’m excited to share a hello card that combines several Spellbinders products to showcase the Forsythia die set, part of the Nature’s Botanical Garden Collection at Spellbinders. This card features a watering can brimming with forsythia branches, complemented by a textured card base achieved with a cover plate die.

• • Create card background from Waterfall cardstock with the Starshine Background die. Attach to an A2-size card base.
  • Cut Forsythia pieces from Susan’s Garden Specialty cardstock. Color with Copic markers. I watched this video for instructions on how to color and shape the pieces. I used Copic markers to color the elements. Rather than create the stamens with the included die, I filled the flower centers with You Had Me at Yellow Prills. I added flowers and leaves to three branches.
  • Cut the watering can from Brushed Silver cardstock with the Sprinkle & Grow set. Assemble and shade with Black Soot Oxide ink.
  • Cut sentiment from Susan’s Garden Specialty cardstock with a die in the Fresh Picked Sentiments set.
  • Add elements to the card base with foam adhesive.
