Reverse Confetti December 2020 Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to the December Reverse Confetti Blog Hop. You should have arrived here from the blog of Jeanne Jachna. (If not, you’ll want to start at the Release Confetti blog. The entire blog hop list is included at the end of this post.) For the hop, I am sharing a card suitable for a number of occasions including friendship and birthday.

To begin, I stamped the flowers and leaves with the Bold Blooms set and cut the pieces with their coordinating dies.
I added the pieces to a frame cut with the Center Circle Cover die from Polar White cardstock and backed with light-blue cardstock.
I stamped the Mixed Messages sentiment on to Polar White cardstock, which I cut with one of the Tag Duo dies. I tucked the sentiment into the floral arrangement on the right-hand side of the card.

Penny Black Winter Greetings

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS seasonal card created with Penny Black supplies. I wanted to create a card that celebrated the beauty of the winter months.

I die-cut the polar bears with the 51-668 Festive Family set from white flock.
I die-cut the snow bank with the same set and added it to a navy cardstock panel, on which I had stamped the 30-731 Christmas Moments sentiment in white pigment ink.
To fill the sky, I added snowflakes cut with the 51-268 A Blizzard, 51-080 Around Town, and 51-066 Crystal Trio sets.
I added the polar bears with foam adhesive.
I added the panel to a patterned paper card base for additional visual interest.

Spellbinders December 2020 Clear Stamp Club

Hello! Today I am sharing a special friendship card created with this month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Club – “Ballerina Sentiments” – along with the Large Die of the Month kit – “Look Behind the Curtain” – at Spellbinders. (I shared a card using the Large Die of the Month kit here.)

I stamped the row of ballerinas with “Hello” and “Friend” on a Whip Cream cardstock panel.
I Copic-colored the ballerinas before diecutting the top of the panel with the curtain slot.
I cut the curtain pieces from red velvet cardstock and the rods from gold foil.
I added the Whip Cream panel to a Brush Gold card base and added the curtain assembly.
Once everything was in place, I embellished the curtains with gold sequins.

Spellbinders December 2020 Small and Large Die Kit Clubs

Hello and happy December! Today, I am sharing cards created with this month’s Small Die of the Month kit (“Daydreaming”) and Large Die of the Month kit (“Look Behind the Curtain”) at Spellbinders.

My first card showcases the Small Die of the Month kit that is packed with dies with which to create window scenes.

I cut the starry panes from dark blue cardstock and again (without the star insert) from light yellow. The set contains three sentiments. I chose the one that best works with the nighttime scene.

I added the cat, the moon, and the potted plants to the scene, as well as gold sequins. I added the window assembly to a patterned paper background.

On the second card, I have combined the Small Die of the Month kit named “Daydreaming” and Large Die of the Month, which contains dies with which to create an operable curtain. I created a daytime scene with the Small Die of the Month kit, using the rectangular window without the arch window.

Here’s the card with the curtains open:

I assembled the scene, which includes two cats and potted plants, and set it aside.
Following the directions for the curtain assembly, I die-cut the curtain pieces from patterned paper and gold foil (finials).
I attached the curtains to a yellow panel which contains the slots for the curtain mechanism.
I then added the window scene.
