Taylored Expressions – September 2017 Release

Hello! Welcome to the Taylored Expressions September 2017 Release! All of the products that we have been sharing this week are now available in the TE store! I hope you have enjoyed the projects and festivities this past week!

Before you head off to shop, I’ve got two more birthday-themed projects to share! My first card showcases the Happy Script die.

I cut the sentiment and applied the Picked Raspberry ink to the die-cut with one of the Clarity Stencil Brushes. I heat-embossed the Peek-a-Boo Birthday sentiment on the Build a Cake piece (masking the Happy from the sentiment). I placed the assembled cake in front of an area to which I added Distress Oxide Broken China ink. For texture and color, I added Nuvo White Crystal Drops to the candles and TE Sequins – Hello Happiness to the card base.

My final birthday project uses the Blooms Overlay pieces in floral arrangements for a CAS card featuring the heat-embossed Simply Said – Birthday sentiment.

I backed the cut blooms with Sugar Cube circles. The greenery was cut with a die in the Bloomers Greenery set from the new Key Lime cardstock.

Taylored Expressions – Day Three September 2017 Release Sneak Peeks

Hello! Welcome to Day Three of the Taylored Expressions September Sneak Peeks. Products will be in the store tomorrow – Thursday, September 7 @ 7 AM PST! With this release, Taylored Expressions is celebrating their 9th birthday! At the end of my post, I have more information on the fun birthday festivities!

My first project showcases the Sympathy Blooms Cutting Plate.

I cut the plate from Sugar Cube cardstock and added Distress Oxide Inks – Peeled Paint, Fossilized Amber, Faded Jeans – with the Clarity Stencil Brushes.

For my second project, I created a set of note cards featuring the Laurels stamp set.

The stamp set features seven sentiments and four greenery variations. I stamped the greenery with Peapod ink and gold heat-embossed the sentiments on note cards cut with the Scalloped Notecard set. To finish off the cards, I added a bow, cut from gold foil cardstock, with a die in the Door to Door Winter Decor set.

Taylored Expressions – Give Thanks

Hello! Welcome to Day Two of the Taylored Expressions September Sneak Peeks. Products will be in the store Thursday, September 7 @ 7 AM PST! The new products releasing this month are themed around birthday and Thanksgiving/fall. With this release, Taylored Expressions is celebrating their 9th birthday!

My first card celebrates Thanksgiving! I have combined a sentiment, from the Thanksgiving Blessings set stamped with the brand-new Mocha ink, with Thanksgiving/fall-themed die-cuts.

I created a table setting on which I placed assembled die-cuts including Little Bits – Pumpkin Pie, Little Bits – Turkey Dinner, and a vase cut with Sitting Pretty Fall Accessories. I added leaves cut with Sitting Pretty Fall Accessories and Little Bits – Leaves to the scene.

For my next project, I created napkin rings for a Thanksgiving place setting with Little Bits – Pumpkin Pie and sentiments from Thanksgiving Blessings and Simply Stamped – Acorns.

I used the Napkin Ring die to cut the napkin rings from woodgrain cardstock and patterned paper in the Playful Patterns – Harvest set.

For my final project, I created another Thanksgiving-themed card showcasing the Thanksgiving Blessings sentiment set.

My first card, celebrating this special event, features the 9th Birthday Challenge Sketch (scroll down to the end of the post for more info on this special challenge) with the new Peek-a-Boo Birthday set.

I paired the Copic-colored Peek-a-Boo Birthday cat with a number balloon cut with Number Balloons and Balloon Strings.

I applied Potato Chip ink to a Sugar Cube cardstock panel, as a background for the cat. I then added the Curly Q Cutting Plate. I used the Happy Birthday Banner for the sentiment. So that the sentiment would stand out, I added Distress Oxide Broken China ink to the bottom portion of the letters. I added party balloons cut with Little Bits – Balloons. One of the balloons is cut with the brand-new cardstock color – Key Lime!

My final card today features the Number Balloons and Balloon Strings used for an anniversary card. I cut the Number Balloons from silver foil cardstock.

As the 25th is the silver anniversary, I used silver in a number of ways. The Free Fall Background is stamped with silver ink. The sentiment from Simply Said – Birthday is heat-embossed with silver powder on vellum. The cake candles and plate are cut from silver cardstock in the TE Metallic Neutrals pack.

Die-cut Summer Chairs

This past weekend, my husband and I visited Gig Harbor, just about an hour away from Seattle. It is a picturesque town whose harbor is graced with a magnificent view of Mount Rainier. Many of the houses on the main street had Adirondack chairs on their porches. One house, of which I wasn’t able to take a photo, had three colorful chairs, and it is that which I have tried to capture with my card.

I cut the Impression Obsession Single Beach Chair from Stampin’ Up cardstock in Lucky Limeade (retired), Pumpkin Pie, and Bermuda Bay. The PTI Flipping Out sentiment was heat-embossed on SU Basic Gray. I dry-embossed the white background with the SU Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder. The card base is SU Crumb Cake.
