Penny Black Simplicity – Magic of the Season

Today, I’m sharing a holiday card based on a design I used for a spring card which appeared on the Penny Black Simplicity site. While the spring card featured a butterfly, this interpretation showcases the wreath from 51-151 Whirl Wreath.

BelieveWreath

I cut the wreath from brushed gold cardstock and the ribbon from watercolor paper I colored with Distress Ink spray. The balls were punched with a hole punch from the same watercolor paper. The green background was stamped in gold pigment ink with the 40-382 Blips background stamp and cut with the 51-136 Stitched Edges die. I added the wreath to the panel with dimensional adhesive. I stamped one of the sentiments from 30-310 Believe onto a white card base, to which I adhered the green panel. While my card was created in traditional red and green, it would be easy to change this up with any number of non-traditional color combinations!

Reverse Confetti November Release Blog Hop

The wait is over! REVERSE CONFETTI has just released TWO stamp sets, FOUR Confetti Cuts and the Holly Jolly Quick Card Panels! The hop began on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Lisa’s blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all the new Reverse Confetti stamp sets and dies!

My first project features the Gift Card Holder Tag in non-traditional holiday colors.

I embellished the tag with holly leaves and berries cut with the Holly Confetti Cuts set and a heat-embossed sentiment from the With Love set.

A restaurant gift card along with a bottle of wine would make a generous gift!

I finished the tag off with die cuts from the Hang Ups Confetti Cuts and a silver ribbon.

With the Alphabetical stamp set it’s a cinch to personalize your gift tags.

ReverseConfettiJustforYouTag

I used a sentiment from the With Love set on a tag cut with the Topped Off Tag Confetti Cuts, which I embellished with the Hang Ups, Wreaths and Tagged Tote Confetti Cuts set.

Short on time? Simply cut a Holly Jolly Quick Card Panel with the Gift Card Holder Tag Confetti Cuts die!

ReverseConfettiJustforYouTag

I embellished the tag with a large snowflake cut from red glitter paper with the Layered Snowflake Confetti Cuts set, tied with silver metallic cord.

I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today. Be sure and hop on the 8th of EVERY MONTH for more REVERSE CONFETTI inspiration! Now it’s time to hop on over to the blog of Amy Rohl. If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop order and list of all the participating designers on the Reverse Confetti blog.

Reverse Confetti November Release Countdown to Confetti Day Three

It’s Day Three of the Countdown to Confetti at Reverse Confetti! Today, Reverse Confetti introduces the Bubbly Tag Toppers Confetti Cuts.

For my first project, I created a celebration tag, cut with the Topped Off Tag set, using a sentiment from With Love and a panel cut with the Bubbly Tag Toppers set.

I finished the tag off with pieces cut with the Hang Ups set and a silver ribbon.

For my second tag, I used the Bubbly Tag Toppers set along with a small scallop banner die in the Gift Card Holder Tag set to hang stockings cut with the Jolly Holiday set.

Mojo Monday 422 – Taylored Expressions

I’m playing along with the Mojo Monday Challenge #422 with just-released stamps and dies from Taylored Expressions.

I used the Stitched Banner, Stitched Rectangle, Stitched Square and Stitched Circle Stacklets to cut out the geometric shapes on the card. To create the skinnier rectangle, I cut the patterned paper once with the Stitched Banner die and then used it again to cut off the banner part. The heat-embossed sentiment and kitchen items are from the Life is a Kitchen stamp set.

Taylored Expressions November Release Day!

Hello! Welcome to the Taylored Expressions November 2015 Release! All products that we have been peeking this week are now available in the TE store, HERE! Before you head off to shop, I have one last project to show you.

JeanManisNOV15RaiseYourGlass

I created a celebratory card with the Raise Your Glass die set. (While my card is for New Year’s Eve, the Raise Your Glass set works for any number of occasions – engagement, wedding, graduation, …!) I cut the glass out of a white metallic cardstock (I used the two dies together to create a frame), as well as out of gold metallic cardstock. The sentiment from Eventful – Holidays was heat-embossed on Oreo cardstock and cut with one of the just-released Stitched Banner Stacklets dies. I added some celebratory streamers to the card base, which I dry-embossed with the On the Spot embossing folder.

I filled the glasses with a combination of sequins and Little Bits – Celebration Confetti. Although I didn’t create a shaker card, doing so would be easy!

Thanks so much for stopping by! If you’d like to see more projects and new product information, head over to the TE Blog for a complete blog roll of our participating designers!
