Taylored Expressions May 2017 Release Day

Hello! Welcome to the Taylored Expressions May 2017 Release! All of the products that we have been sharing this week on projects are now available in the TE store!

My first project features the fun On the Road – Police Cruiser set.

I placed the assembled police car in a scene created by combining the Dizzy Dots Background and the Gunny Sack Background stamps and a road made with the Build a Scene – On the Road set. To finish, I added a heat-embossed sentiment from the Wee-ooh Wee-ooh set.

My final project is a golf-themed Father’s Day card.

I used the Little Bits – Hole in One, Build A Scene – Grassy Hills and Block Party – Dad dies with a sentiment from Punny Man to create a CAS card.

Taylored Expressions May 2017 Release – Day Two Sneak Peeks

Hello! Welcome to Day Two of the Taylored Expressions May Sneak Peeks. This month’s release features a variety of products appropriate for Father’s Day, masculine and little boy projects, and the 4th of July! Products will be in the store Thursday, May 4 @ 7 AM PST!

My first card showcases the Simply Said – 4th of July stamp set.

I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment on Cherry Pop cardstock and cut it with one of the dies in the Star Stacklets set, framing it with a larger star cut with the largest die in the Pinhole Star Stacklets set. I couldn’t resist pulling out the Marching On die to add to the celebratory feel of the card. The background is dry-embossed with the Fireworks embossing folder.

Sound the alarm! My next project features the On the Road – Firetruck with a heat-embossed sentiment from the Wee-ooh Wee-ooh set (so many fun options with this sentiment set!).

I added balloons cut with the Party Time and Little Bits – Balloons sets, as well as a roadway cut with the Build a Scene – On the Road die set.

Lawn Fawn Flower Power – Mother’s Day Card

Hello! Today I’m sharing a CAS Mother’s Day card featuring the Lawn Fawn Flower Power die set.

I made this card with my mother in mind, although she is no longer alive. She absolutely loved bright colors (no pastels for her)! And this style of flower reminds me of the bright flowers from the 1960s, which were seemingly everywhere! I cut the flowers, leaves, and flower centers from a variety of cardstock colors. I cut A LOT of flowers before choosing two shades of orange and two shades of pink. I used my MISTI to stamp the sentiment (two separate stamps from the Lawn Fawn Mom + Me set) at the same time.

Penny Black Simplicity Watercolored Flowers

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS watercolored thank you card featuring the Penny Black stamp set 30-418 Stitched Flowers from the BLISS 2017 release.

I stamped the floral image with VersaFine ink on Arches watercolor paper and colored it with watercolors, watercolor pencils, and Distress Inks. Once dry, I stamped the sentiment. I added the panel to a card base which I colored with Distress Inks to match the floral blooms. To finish it off, I added a die-cut frame cut from gray cardstock.

Take It Easy – Lawn Fawn Hang in There

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS friendship card featuring Lawn Fawn’s Hang in There stamp set. Who can resist this cute sloth?!

I stamped and colored the images, using Copic markers and colored pencils. I added the cut images to a background colored with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink. The heat-embossed sentiment was cut with a die in the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables set. I used a Taylored Expressions dry-embossing folder for some texture.
