Hello – Avery Elle Woodland Wonders Owl

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS friendship card featuring several Avery Elle sets. And yes, I did just post another owl card! I decided that I’d feature owls all week!

Avery Elle Owl

I Copic-colored the owl and butterfly from Woodland Wonders placing the owl on a tree cut with the Tree die set and embossed with a Stampin’ Up folder. (We have a lot of trees that look like this in our neighborhood, especially after an abundance of winter storms.) The card background was colored with Distress Inks, and I added ink to the dry-embossed tree as well so that the dry-embossing would stand out. I needed something to fill that blue sky, so I added clouds cut with the Simple Puffy Cloud Frames set. Finally, I cut several of the Hello sentiment with the Sentimental die set and glued them together for depth.

Taylored Expressions – Graduation Card

Hello! I’m sharing a CAS graduation card featuring some of the just released products from Taylored Expressions.

I dressed the Little Bits – Owl with the Little Bits – Hats Off and placed him on a circle stamped with a sentiment from the Wonderful World set. The Shining Star Cutting Plate works perfectly for the background! A little die-cutting, a little stamp and it’s done!

Penny Black Simplicity – Die-Cut Owl

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS friendship card featuring Penny Black products from the BLISS 2017 release.

Penny Black Simplicity

I applied a variety of Distress Inks to cardstock from which I cut the largest owl and branch in the 51-316 Mommy and Me Owls set and the 51-308 Bold Branch. I used the owl die to cut the teal, orange and white cardstock; the orange and white are inlaid. I adhered black cardstock behind the eyes.

I applied Tumbled Glass Distress Ink with my Clarity brush to the card background and stamped the sentiment from 30-418 Stitched Flowers. The owl was added with foam adhesive and the branches were glued to the card base.

I heat-embossed the sentiment from A Life She Loved on Oreo cardstock and colored it with colored pencils. I cut the Little Bits – Colored Pencils, the Little Bits – Paint Palette and the Little Bits – Paint Brushes from colored cardstock and assembled the pieces. The card base is dry-embossed with the Ah-maze-ing embossing folder for texture.

Got a special occasion coming up – anniversary, birthday, graduation? The Initially series now includes numbers! I used the dies to create a colorful 45th birthday banner.

The numbers were cut with the Initially 4 and Initially 5 dies. I created the frames with the largest die in the Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate set and the background was dry-embossed with the Quatrefoil embossing folder. I created the flower embellishments by combining die-cuts created with the Bloomers 5Bloomers 6Mini Bloomers 2Mini Bloomers and Bloomers Greenery sets.

TE April 2017 Release Sneak Peeks Day Three

Hello! Welcome to Day Three of the Taylored Expressions April 2016 Sneak Peeks. Both of my projects today are focused on graduation!

Do you have someone graduating on your card list?

I used Block Party – Grad to create a die-cut Congratulations card for a graduate. The Little Bits – Grad Confetti (cut from silver cardstock) add shape and color to the card. I die-cut Block Party – Grad and Eventful – Graduation Border at the same time (I simply left a gap between the two). This card could easily be customized with the graduate’s school colors!

My second project is also graduation-themed and showcases a sentiment from the Wonderful World stamp set.

I stamped the Wonderful World sentiment (isn’t this a great font combination?!) on the card base and then dry-embossed it using the Cloudy Days folder with a diffuser (so that only a portion would be dry-embossed). I added hot air balloons created with the Sky High – Hot Air Balloons set, which I felt fit the theme.
