Hello! Welcome to Day 1 of the Taylored Expressions September Sneak Peeks. With this release, Taylored Expressions is celebrating its 8th birthday with some fun party favors! (I’ve got more info on that at the end of this post.) The September products will be released this Thursday – September 1 @ 7 AM PST!
Today, to celebrate the 8th birthday, I’m sharing two birthday-themed cards. My first card showcases the Make a Wish Stamp & Die Combo:
I stamped the candles and flames with TE Premium Dye Inks and cut them with their corresponding dies. I put all of the stamps onto my MISTI and stamped with a wide variety of ink colors (I now have lots of candles with which to make cards!). The candle and flame cut separately so it’s easy to mix and match flames on the candles (and turn the candles upside down if desired). I attached the candles and flames to a Distress Inked background with foam adhesive. I created a frame with dies in the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets and Stitched Circle Stacklets sets (this is one of my favorite ways to create a “spotlight” frame), which I had stamped with a sentiment in the Make a Wish Stamp & Die Combo.

A birthday party needs a cake! Build a Cake to the rescue!
The Build a Cake die set includes cake layers, cake plate and accessories for a wide variety of options. I placed my decorated cake against a background dry-embossed with the Streamers embossing folder. The sentiment, from Simply Stamped – Cupcakes, works for any number of celebratory occasions.
To finish, I embellished the card with Little Bits – Sequins Confetti.
