Penny Black CAS Christmas

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS Christmas card created with stamp sets in the “Season of Hope” release from Penny Black.

I stamped the ornament images with stamps in the Penny Black 30-747 Ornamented set. I have a number of small ink pads, dye and pigments inks, with which I played. The pink is a Memento dye ink and the teal and red are pigment inks.
I stamped the 30-731 Christmas Moments sentiment in black.
I trimmed the panel and matted it with brushed silver cardstock.
I added the assembly to a dry-embossed background.
I glued silver twine bows to the tops of the ornaments.

The 30-747 Ornamented has a Scandinavian folk art vibe; I’m looking forward to playing more with the set.

Spellbinders November Clear Stamp of the Month

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS, watercolored, Christmas card created with the just-introduced Clear Stamp of the Month Club from Spellbinders-“Christmas Gem.”

I stamped the set’s largest image on to watercolor paper with Archival ink.
I stamped the sentiment in the center portion of the gem.
I watercolored the image with Distress Inks.
I created a mask for the gem and applied yellow ink to the background.
I added Nuvo drops to some of the berries in the cascade on the left of the image.
I added the panel to a dry-embossed background and adhered clear round drops for texture and visual interest.

Reverse Confetti – November Creative Hop

Today is the day! It’s the 2020 Reverse Confetti November Release Day! We’re celebrating with a hop! You should have arrived here from the blog of Jeanne Jachna. If not, you’ll want to start at the beginning which is the Release Confetti blog.

I am sharing two projects today: one holiday-themed and the other friendship-themed. On the first card, I’m showcasing the Deerly stamp set with coordinating dies.

I cut the background from Navy cardstock with the Center Frame Cover Panel.
I heat-embossed the Seasonal Say It All sentiment in white.
I added the Navy panel to a card base covered with patterned paper from the Sweet Stripes 6×6 Paper Pad.
I stamped, Copic-colored, and cut the deer, tree, and star garland images.
I added the images to the scene, popping the deer up with foam adhesive.

My friendship card features a Mixed Messages sentiment along with foliage from the Botanical stamp set with coordinating dies.

I created the background with the Cross Tiles Cover Panel die cut from yellow cardstock.
I stamped, colored, and cut the Botanical images.
I heat-embossed the Mixed Messages sentiment on purple cardstock.
I cut a Polar White cardstock circle and added it to the center of the background, added the sentiment strip with foam adhesive, and tucked the Botanical images under the strip.

Reverse Confetti – November Countdown to Confetti Day Three

Hello! The wait is almost over – it’s Day Three of the November Reverse Confetti Countdown to Confetti! This release is packed with stamps and dies with which to create for a number of occasions including the holidays. I am sharing two holiday cards featuring cute critters.

My first card showcases the Deerly stamp set (with coordinating die set).

I stamped and Copic colored the deer and trees.
I cut the images with the coordinating die set.
I added snow with embossing powder to the two trees.
I created the card base with the Plaid Lines – Small (cut from Polar cardstock) and Plaid Lines – Big (cut from Avocado cardstock) added to a Salsa card base.
I framed the scene for the deer with a Stitched Notes & Frames frame over blue cardstock on which I heat-embossed snowflakes.
I added the sentiment heat-embossed in white on Salsa cardstock.

My second card showcases an image from the Yuletide Mice stamp set (with coordinating dies).

I stamped and colored the Yuletide Mice image. I stamped the star banner with a stamp in the Deerly set. I stamped the Yuletide Mice stars in yellow ink.
I cut the images with their coordinating dies.
I created the card base with the Plaid Lines – Small cut from Polar cardstock added to patterned paper from the Winter Solstice pad.
I framed an ink-blended panel using the Stitched Notes & Frames set.
I added the sentiment heat-embossed in white on Salsa cardstock.

Reverse Confetti – November Countdown to Confetti Day Two

Hello! It’s Day Two of the November Reverse Confetti Countdown to Confetti! This release is packed with stamps and dies with which to create for a number of occasions including the holidays.

Today I am sharing a faith-based holiday card featuring the stamp set The Best Gift of All along with the Confetti Cuts sets Away in the Manger and the Starstruck Cover Plate.

Here’s how to make the card:

Cut Starstruck Cover Plate from Navy cardstock and add to Polar White card base.
Heat-emboss The Best Gift of All sentiment in white.
Cut the manger from brown cardstock with the Away in the Manger die and the star from gold cardstock. Adhere manger to card with foam adhesive.
Add large star with foam adhesive; use the negative cutout of the star to place the smaller pieces.
