CAS - Right as Rain

Lawn Fawn Spring-Scene Window

Hello! Today, I am sharing one of my favorite card motifs – the window – on a CAS spring- and/or Easter-themed card created with a combination of Lawn Fawn supplies. I’m noticing that I am really drawn to yellow these days!

I cut the Wonderful Window pieces from white cardstock, backing the heart cut-out with red cardstock.
I created the scene (through the window) using the Scalloped Treat Box Spring die set. I used the same set to cut flowers and greenery for the window box.
I stamped the Simply Sentiments sentiment on to the yellow background panel.

Penny Black Die-cut Birthday Wishes

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS birthday card created with two Penny Black die sets – #51-609 Balloons and #51-338 Birthday. The #51-609 Balloons die set is part of their most recent collection – Secret Garden.

The Balloons die set includes two balloon sizes. I cut both sizes from bright-colored cardstock (the green and orange balloons were cut with the smaller die, the pink and yellow with the bigger one).
I arranged the balloons in an overlapping fashion. I adhered the arrangement to the base and trimmed the panel.
I cut the Happy Birthday sentiment three times from white cardstock for extra depth.
I added the bows and strings to the balloons before adhering the sentiment.

Paper Smooches – Cacti Scene

Hello! Today I’m sharing a die-cut scene created with the Cacti die set from Paper Smooches. This card is a change of pace now that Valentine’s Day is in the rear-view mirror.

I colored white cardstock with a variety of Distress Inks and cut it with dies in the Cacti die set.
I added the needles and blooms to the cacti and placed them into pots.
I stamped the Fun and Flirty sentiment on to the card base.
From a horizon line, I applied Distress Inks for the sky and for the ground, masking with a vellum strip.
I added the cacti and other plants to the scene.

Lawn Fawn Valentine

Hello! Today I am sharing a Valentine created with a variety of Lawn Fawn products including the Mom + Me stamp set. I’ve had a lot of fun digging out various supplies to create more non-traditional, less formal Valentines.

I stamped the owl and tree stump from the Mom + Me set, colored the images with Copic markers and colored pencils, and cut the images with their coordinating dies.
I cut the card base with the largest die in the Outside In Stitched Scallop Square Stacklets set.
I cut a 4″ square with the Lawn Fawn Dotted Square die set and embossed it with the Woodgrain Backdrop die.
I cut a heart from patterned paper.
I stamped the Mom + Me sentiment and cut it with a banner die in the Extra Sentiments set.
I cut small hearts using dies in the Wonderful Window and the Speech Bubbles sets for accents.

Paper Smooches – February LOVE Challenge

Hello! Today I am sharing a card which I’m entering into the Paper Smooches LOVE Challenge.

I’m going to start with what I like most about this card – it expresses love without being a traditional, romantic Valentine.
With the Paper Smooches Coffee & Tea die set, I die-cut the tea pot, tea bag, cups, and snowflakes. For the teapot, I cut the pot twice, the second time trimming off the bottom part to make the lid.
I stamped the Winter Sampler sentiment and blended the sky by masking off the lower area. I applied the ink from the top.
I embellished with snowflakes cut with the Snowflakes die set.
This card is 4″ square. I wanted the elements to be close together to feel cozy and warm.
