Spellbinders Die D-Lites – Santa + Snowman

Hello and Ho, Ho, Ho! Today, I am sharing tags featuring Spellbinders Holiday Die D-Lites. I have used the Santa die set on one and the Snowman set on the other! Spellbinders has generously provided me with a Santa die set and Snowman die set to giveaway to one reader (US addresses only please). I have details on the giveaway at the end of the post.

On the Santa, the hat, the beard, the face, and the mustache were cut and embossed. I cut his hat from red cardstock and used a snow marker to add the white fur. Similarly, I cut his face from peach cardstock and used the snow marker to add his eyebrows.

There are lots of options on how to craft these sets. For example, I have seen examples where the hat and the face are cut from white cardstock and colored with Copic markers (in which case the fur pieces are left uncolored as are his eyebrows).

For the Snowman, I cut and embossed the hat, the face, the holly leaves and berries, and the scarf. I cut the hat and eyes from a black foil.

Using the die in the Happy Grams set, I cut patterned paper to create the tag bases. On both tags, I used a sentiment from the Charming Tag Sentiments set, which I cut with a die in the A-2 Matting Basics B set.

Now to the giveaway! I like all sorts of Christmas decorating styles and color combinations – whimsical, rustic/farmhouse, traditional, … and have decorated over the years in a number of different styles. To enter the giveaway (US addresses only please), simply comment on this post telling me your favorite Christmas decorating style by Thursday, October 25, 9 PM PDT. Hip Hip Hooray – Glitter Balloon Die-Cuts

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS card suitable for a number of occasions – birthday, graduation, retirement, promotion – created with several different balloon die sets.

Hip Hip Hooray - Glitter Balloon Die-Cuts

I used balloon dies from an Avery Elle set, a Penny Black set, and a Paper Smooches set to cut the balloons from metallic glitter paper (bronze, copper, silver, and gold) included in the Assortment Glitter pack.

I cut the balloon strings from black cardstock with a balloon strings die. The balloon strings are gathered together with a bow (created with a die in the retired Avery Elle Finished Frames set). I stamped the sentiment, from a Stampin’ Up set that is now retired, in black ink on Sea Salt cardstock.

Fall-Themed Die-cut Thanks

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS fall-themed thank you card showcasing the Hello Bluebird Gallery Frame 3 die set. The die set includes two frames and six different fall items. I paired four of the items – acorn (I cut two), two leaves, pumpkin – with the Big Thanks sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.

I cut the items from soft finish cardstock and colored them using sponge applicators with a variety of Distress Inks. I popped the items up with foam adhesive in four of the openings and adhered the Thanks sentiment across the middle with glue adhesive. I used a wood-grain embossing folder on the card base for texture.

You Da Best – Picture Book Panda

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS card showcasing the Simon Says Stamp Picture Book Panda die. The card could be used for a variety of occasions.

You Da Best - Picture Book Panda

No stamping on this card at all! I used the You Da Best die set for the sentiment. The card base is from a Pebbles patterned paper pack. The glitter paper is from an assortment pack. For texture, I dry-embossed the black cardstock strip, used to ground the panda.

Spellbinders – A Sweet Christmas

Hello! Today I am sharing three CAS Christmas cards of the same design featuring the Gingerbread Boy from Sharyn Sowell for Spellbinders. For all three, I used patterned paper backgrounds and a sentiment from the Concord & 9th Holiday Cheer set, which I stamped and cut with a circle die.

I crafted the gingerbread people from three different materials – cardstock (Lawn Fawn Paper Bag), felt (Taylored Expressions latte), and glitter (Elizabeth Crafts Desert Gold). For the eyes, buttons, mouth, … I used  glossy cardstock for the gingerbread boy crafted from glitter and cardstock and felt for the  gingerbread boy crafted from felt.

There would be fun to include with a gift of freshly baked gingerbread!
