Penny Black Gold Embossed Holiday Card

Today I’m sharing a card created with a Penny Black stamp image and die cut sentiment. Metallic accents are an easy way to add sparkle to a holiday project.

I gold-embossed 40-337 Sprightly on green cardstock and trimmed the panel so that the card base would have a border. I also wanted to be able to easily adhere the vellum strip to the back of the card panel. To the strip, I added  the die-cut Merry sentiment from 51-021 Love & Joy (cut several times for extra depth).

My Favorite Things – Comfy Sweaters

Today, I’m sharing a card created with some new goodies from My Favorite Things. Sweaters have been a really big trend this season for papercrafting and the MFT Comfy Sweater die has two sizes from which to choose!

I cut the sweaters from patterned paper with the smaller of the two sweater dies in the Comfy Sweater set, and finished them with cuffs, collar and a bottom hem cut from white cardstock. The patterned paper scale worked well with the die size. I stamped the sentiment from Cozy Greetings on white cardstock and cut the card panel with the stitched die in the Blueprints 13 set.

25 Days of Christmas Tags from the Confetti Crew

Tracey McNeely is hosting a 25 Days of Christmas Tags event on her blog this year for the 4th year! Tracey invited the Confetti Crew members to join in as her guests! We were asked to make a Christmas Tag using some awesome Reverse Confetti products.

For the first tag, I heat embossed a sentiment from the Seasonal Sentiments set, adding it to a tag cut with the Tag Me, Too Confetti Cuts die, which I decorated with cuts from the Circle Garland Confetti Cuts die.

For the second tag, I glued chevrons cut with the Triple Chevies Confetti Cuts die to plain cardstock and then cut the panel with the Tag Me die. I stamped a sentiment from Seasonal Sentiments on a banner, cut with a die in the Tag Me set. I also added some glitter snowflakes cut with one of the dies in the Let It Snow Confetti Cuts set.

November SFYTT from Reverse Confetti

Card created for the now defunct Reverse Confetti Sketch For You To Try Challenge.

I chose traditional holiday red and green solid cardstock and patterned paper. With the white card base, I needed the sentiment to stand out, so I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from Seasonal Sentiments on black cardstock. I added a tree cut with the Branch Out die set attached with dimensional adhesive.

Penny Black CAS Reindeer

I’m sharing a CAS holiday card combining a Penny Black die cut, stenciled background and heat embossed sentiment with one of my favorite holiday color combinations – white, red and silver.

Penny Black CAS Reindeer

I began by stamping and heat embossing the sentiment from Penny Black’s 30-255 Most Wonderful on heavyweight white cardstock.

Next, I applied white embossing paste through the 25-010 Zigs & Zags stencil. I only applied paste in the center portion, letting the edges unevenly fade away.

Finally, I cut the larger reindeer from the 51-069 Together set several times, adhering the pieces for added dimension, and attached the reindeer to the embossed background.
