Happy Holidays

I’m playing along with Freshly Made Sketches again this week. I had fun combining several Penny Black stamp sets for the focal image, adding patterned paper, a strip of dry embossed cardstock and metallic twine to finish off the card.

Happy Holidays

I heat-embossed stamped images from three Penny Black sets: the cute scene is from 30-266 Gleeful; the sentiment is from 30-257 Joy Filled; and the snowflake is from the 30-255 Most Wonderful set.

Merry Monday: Silent Night

Today I’m sharing a card created for the Merry Monday Challenge. The theme this week is Silent Night.

I was drawn to the lovely scene of houses in the woods. I decided to make just one house red (Home & Hearth by Ellen Hutson) so as not to overpower the tranquility of the scene. I used Lawn Fawn stitched hills for the snowbanks.

Merry Monday: Silent Night

I really enjoy crafting to themes like this, especially during the holidays. There’s some great inspiration from the DT over at Merry Monday.

Believe! Essentials by Ellen Designed by Julie Ebersole

I am sharing another holiday card crafted with products from the Essentials by Ellen release designed by Julie Ebersole exclusively for Ellen Hutson LLC.

Believe! Essentials by Ellen Designed by Julie Ebersole

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the Brushstroke Christmas set, as well as the lights from the Tis the Season set. The stag was cut from both green and gold foil cardstock. I cut two layers for extra depth. The die cuts and stamps in this release work so well together!
