Penny Black Leap of Joy

Today, I’m sharing a winter holiday card created with recently released Penny Black stamps and dies. For this card, the gold foil deer, cut with the 51-062 Leap of Joy die, takes center stage.

Penny Black Leap of Joy

To begin, I stamped the card base in a matching ink with the 40-350 Tree-Lined stamp for a tone-on-tone background. (I’ll be reaching for this background stamp again and again for holiday cards.) I cut white cardstock with the 51-057 Polaroid die, onto which I heat embossed the “Seasons Greetings” sentiment, from the 30-255 Most Wonderful set, with gold embossing powder. I added some vellum behind the Polaroid frame onto which I attached the die-cut deer with dimensional adhesive. I debated with my son and husband about the gold cord. As minimalists, they both vetoed the cord, whereas I decided a little extra bling couldn’t hurt.

Penny Black: The Gift

Today I’m sharing a holiday card with Penny Black’s 51-070 The Gift die as the focal point.

I die cut the bird from a gold foil paper. The background was created by stamping the musical notes from the 30-238 Footnotes set on vellum.

I heat embossed the “Seasons Greetings” sentiment from the 30-255 Most Wonderful set with gold embossing powder on a card panel, which I cut with a circle die to expose the musical notes behind.

Poppystamps Snow Flocked Tree

Today I’m sharing a winter-themed card crafted using the newly-released Poppystamps Snow Flocked Tree die.

Poppystamps Snow Flocked TreeTo create the winter scene, I paired the Snow Flocked Tree with a snowy backdrop, which was cut using the Pine Tree Border. For some color, I added Santa’s Magic Sleigh in the foreground.

The Snow Flocked Tree was cut and then dry embossed giving it the flocked detail.

Penny Black Season’s Greetings

Today I’m sharing a card created with Penny Black stamps from the just-released Season’s Greetings collection.

To begin, I stamped and heat-embossed the 40-341 Adorned With Love stamp with gold embossing powder on vellum. I die cut holiday red cardstock, that I stamped and heat embossed with a sentiment from the 30-257 Joy Filled set. To finish, I attached the vellum to the die-cut panel and attached the panel to a white card base.

Poppystamps: Merry Holiday

Today, I’m sharing a Poppystamps card in which I’ve paired a die from the new release with one of my favorites in the Poppystamps collection.

Poppystamps: Merry Holiday
To begin, I cut the Magnificent Merry out of brushed silver cardstock. I then cut the Fremont Pine Landscape out of white cardstock. Next I die cut the Merry out of the Fremont Pine Landscape panel and carefully replaced it with the brushed silver one, making sure to include the pieces in the “m” and “e” when I did so. I trimmed the panel to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and attached it to a precut sky blue panel, adhering the scene to my card base.
