Hit the Road

It’s Day Two of the Taylored Expressions May Sneak Peeks! Today’s projects showcase the outdoors and adventure. The May products will be released Thursday, May 5 @ 7 AM PST!

My first project, a camping-themed card, could fit a variety of occasions!

Taylored Expressions May 2016 Release

The previously released Happy Trails stamp set now has coordinating dies! I colored in the bear and skunk with Copic markers and cut them out. To the scene I added a camper cut with the On the Road – Camper die set and a fire and tree cut with the Build a Scene – Lakeside set. The RV There Yet? sentiment was stamped onto a hill cut with Build a Scene – Rolling Hills.

Have a friend who has just retired, moving away or changing jobs? The “Enjoy the Journey” sentiment from Go Beep has you covered!

I heat-embossed the sentiment on Earl Grey cardstock, which simulates the road. I created the On the Road – Truck and the On the Road – Camper with a variety of cardstock colors, using foam adhesive on certain pieces to create more depth. This card is long and skinny to accommodate the truck and camper.

TE Sneak Peeks: Bridezilla is Getting Hitched

Welcome to Day 1 of the Taylored Expressions March Sneak Peeks – I’m sharing two wedding-themed projects! The March products will be released Thursday, March 3 @ 7 AM PST!

My first project features Mr. & Mrs. Grumplings – the happiest bride and groom ever (kidding!).

Taylored Expressions March 2016 Release

I stamped and Copic-colored the bride and groom. After cutting them with their corresponding dies, I added the pair to a panel of white Woodgrain Textured cardstock. I heat-embossed the sentiment and cut it with one of the Stitched Banner Stacklets dies (I cut twice to make a rectangle, rather than a banner). I added the Mr. & Mrs. – Congrats Banners (cut from white shimmer cardstock in the Premium Cardstock – Metallic Neutrals pack). The woodgrain card panel was adhered to a panel which had been dry-embossed with the Houndstooth embossing folder.

Mr. Grumpling has to have a ring for Mrs. Grumpling, right? My next card features the Little Bits – Wedding Ring die.

I cut the ring from gold cardstock (included in the Premium Cardstock – Metallic Neutrals pack) and the stone from white shimmer cardstock, (also included in the pack). I heat-embossed a sentiment from Happily Ever After on the card base and placed the rings around the sentiment.

Lawn Fawn Happy Easter

With Valentine’s Day now in the rear-view mirror, I’m sharing an Easter card created with several Lawn Fawn sets.

The Pretty Pink Posh Storybook frame makes it easy to coordinate stamped images without building large scenes. The bunnies are actually from a winter Lawn Fawn set.

Taylored Expressions February Release Sneak Peeks Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of the Taylored Expressions February Sneak Peeks! It’s time to get crafty with Easter- and spring-themed projects! The February products will be released Thursday, February 4 @ 7 AM PST!

My first card says “hello” to spring with the cute critters in the Bunny Tails & Happy Trails stamp set with coordinating dies.

I stamped the critters, colored them with Copic markers and cut them with their corresponding dies, adding them to the card front with foam adhesive. I used the Build a Scene – On the Road die set to create the roads. I heat-embossed the sentiment onto the card front.

My second card, featuring the Wishes on a Wire – St. Paddy’s Day stamp set, celebrates St. Patrick’s Day!

I stamped and Copic-colored the scene – isn’t that rabbit cute?! I cut the colored scene with a rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets set. I used patterned paper from TE 6×6 Paper Pack – For Peep’s Sake for a mat behind the rectangle. I added a grass border, which I Copic-colored to get the right shade, cut with the Wispy Grass Border die. To finish, I added flowers cut with the Little Bits – Flowers & Stems set.

Lawn Fawn Keep Cozy

Today I’m sharing a winter-themed, friendship card, featuring one of the cute critters from Lawn Fawn’s Party Animal set.

Jean Manis Lawn Fawn Keep CozyI kept the design similar to this card in order to focus on my Copic coloring. The Lawn Fawn Journaling Card die provides a background that’s just the right size for the critters. I used a woodgrain dry-embossed background for an outdoorsy feel.
