Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks! The November products will be released tomorrow – Thursday, November 5 @ 7 AM PST!

Unbelievably, New Year’s Day is less than two months away! My first project is a Happy New Year shaker card featuring the Happy New Year die.
HappyNewYearShaker

To create the card, I cut the Happy New Year out of Oreo cardstock and adhered a plastic sheet rectangle to the frame back. I cut a panel of Sugar Cube cardstock to back the frame. After sprinkling in some of the TE Wedding sequins, (actually a lot of sequins!), I attached the back with foam adhesive to the frame. To finish off the card, I created a woven panel from gold metallic cardstock with the Basketweave Cutting Plate, which I “stitched” with one of the dies in the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets set. While I wove the panel with the same color of cardstock, there are lots of possibilities with the weaving (two-color, three-color,…)!

My second project features a few of the adorable critters (twelve in all!) in the Calendar Critters set.

CalendarCritters

I Copic-colored the critters for the months of November, December and January, combining them in a card created with the Mini Colorblock Cutting Plate. I embellished with some of the pieces in the Build a Scene – Calendar set and one of the Holiday Charms. The sentiment is from the coordinating Critter Correspondence stamp set. I wanted a card the card to capture the “holiday season” – Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s!

AEI♥U Challenge #30 – Holiday Tags

It’s time for another AEI♥U Challenge! This month’s theme is holiday tags, and we’re teaming up with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags Event.

Here’s my holiday tag featuring the moose from the Avery Elle Snow Much Fun set:

JeanManisAveryElleNovemberMooseTag

I stamped the moose, colored him with Copics and cut him with the Elle-ments companion die. I stamped the banner from the FA LA LA set and cut it with it’s companion die. I cut a snowbank with a die from the Snow Caps set and cut it again with the tag die, adhering it to a tag cut out of blue cardstock.

I also created two more tags in a similar manner featuring other cute images from the Snow Much Fun set!

Taylored Expressions Bright Holiday Season

Today, I’m sharing a holiday card featuring one of the images from Taylored Expressions Deck the Halls, which I colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.

Penguin

I cut the hill with the Taylored Expressions Build A Scene – Rolling Hills die set and added trees from two other Build a Scene sets – Winter Trees  and Central Park. The patch of ice (which I decided to cut in a whimsical color) was cut with a die in the Central Park set. The sentiment is from the TE Share the Light stamp set. The snowflakes were cut with the TE Little Bits – Snowflake Confetti set.

Avery Elle Let’s Go Skiing!

Today I’m sharing a winter holiday card featuring Avery Elle’s Snow Much Fun set. I just love the moose (actually I’m in love with the entire set!) and played with perspective a bit by squeezing him into the gondola from the Snow Caps set!

GondolaMoose

I colored the moose with Copic markers, cut him with the coordinating die, and put him into the gondola. The gondola was cut from colored cardstock and white cardstock, with a layer of vellum behind the moose.

Reverse Confetti October Release Countdown to Confetti Day Two

It’s Day Two of the Countdown to Confetti at Reverse Confetti! Today, Reverse Confetti introduces the Jolly Holiday stamp set with coordinating Confetti Cuts, just in time for holiday paper crafting!

JollyHoliday

For my project, I used one of the ‘Tis the Season Quick Card Panels as a background for the reindeer and Santa from Jolly Holiday.  I heat-embossed the stamp images on cardstock, which I colored with Copic markers and cut with their corresponding Confetti Cuts dies. I also heat-embossed the Ho Ho Ho conversation bubble and cut it with its companion die.

I used the Confetti Cuts to cut additional cardstock onto which I adhered the colored images and the speech bubble to give extra depth. I dry-embossed white cardstock for a snowy ground and finished the card with the Solid Peapod twine.

There are two $15 gift certificates up for grabs – one for blog commenters and one for Facebook commenters. Increase your chance of winning by leaving a comment on each sneak peek post for each designer. Comments will close at noon CST on October 7th and the winner will be announced at 5pm on October 7th on the Reverse Confetti blog and FB page.
