Holiday Latte to Go!

Hello. Today, I’m sharing a CAS die-cut holiday card featuring the CottageCutz Peppermint Latte die set.

Holiday Latte

To begin, I cut and assembled the cups, and then went on the hunt for coordinating patterned paper. I found papers I liked, but they didn’t match the red and green I’d chosen for the cups, so I started over. (Note to self: pick out the patterned paper first!)

Because the background patterned paper has a number of sentiments (it reminds me of a chalkboard at a café listing the specials), I decided to forgo adding another sentiment to the card.

I used two different stitched square die sets from Lil’ Inker Designs to cut the background and the card base. One of the sets includes a die that cuts a stitched square 4.25″ x 4.25″.

Living the Salt Life

I’m constantly on the lookout for nautical-themed stamps and dies. Today I’m sharing a card celebrating the “salt life” in which I’ve combined products from several different companies.

I used two CottageCutz die sets- Pelican and Seagull – to create the seagull standing on the pilings. I colored the die-cut pieces with Distress Inks so that there would be greater variation than I would have achieved had I simply cut the pieces from colored cardstock.

The waves were created with Distress Inks and a Memory Box stencil. The sentiment is from Impression Obsession’s Nautical set.

Shore Do Love You!

Today, I’m sharing a “just because” nautical card!

Shore Do Love You

The buoy is cut with the CottageCutz Life Preserver Die. This is a “new to me” company which has a number of nautical-themed dies. They provide quite a bit of detail (for example, while you can’t see it, the rope is textured). I stamped the background with the My Favorite Things Wood Plank Background (you can never have too many wood-textured backgrounds!) and then cut it with one of the Lawn Fawn dies.  I used a die in the My Favorite Things Die-namics Blueprints 20 set to cut the heat-embossed sentiment (Reverse Confetti Happy Harbor). I’m on the hunt for more nautical sentiment sets (I have many more nautical dies than nautical sentiments).

Supplies: CottageCutz Life Preserver die, Reverse Confetti Happy Harbor stamp set (retired)
