Taylored Expressions May 2017 Release

I stamped and colored the super hero and added him to a stack of stars cut with the Pinhole Star Stacklets. I stamped the Twinkle Twinkle Background with Sugar Cube ink on Cookie Monster cardstock. The skyline was cut with the Downtown Border and the new Downtown Border Underlay.

Taylored Expressions Farm Scene with Copic-colored Chickens

Hello! Today, I am sharing a farm-themed, friendship card featuring Taylored Expressions Happy Hens Stamp & Die Combo, along with farm-themed die-cuts to fill out the scene.

Taylored Expressions Farm Scene

I colored the stamped hens with Copic markers and colored pencils (they crack me up!). I dry-embossed the hill with the Chicken Wire embossing folder and added the assembled farm-themed, die-cuts, created with the Little Bits – BarnLittle Bits – Windmill and Little Bits – Tractor die sets.

Lawn Fawn Flower Power – Mother’s Day Card

Hello! Today I’m sharing a CAS Mother’s Day card featuring the Lawn Fawn Flower Power die set.

Lawn Fawn Flower Power

I made this card with my mother in mind, although she is no longer alive. She absolutely loved bright colors (no pastels for her)! And this style of flower reminds me of the bright flowers from the 1960s, which were seemingly everywhere! I cut the flowers, leaves, and flower centers from a variety of cardstock colors. I cut A LOT of flowers before choosing two shades of orange and two shades of pink. I used my MISTI to stamp the sentiment (two separate stamps from the Lawn Fawn Mom + Me set) at the same time.

Taylored Expressions Simply Stamped Butterflies

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a “thinking of you” card featuring stamps and dies from Taylored Expressions.

Taylored Expressions Simply Stamped Butterflies

I stamped the butterflies with the Simply Stamped – Butterflies stamp set and cut them with their corresponding die set. I stamped the sentiment (I absolutely love the lettering on this!) on Sugar Cube cardstock and cut it with the Ornate Frame Cutting Plate. I also cut Earl Grey cardstock with the plate and inlaid the Sugar Cube panel. The Potato Chip cardstock is a full panel attached behind the frame. I added the butterflies to the Sugar Cube panel with foam adhesive.

Hello – Avery Elle Woodland Wonders Owl

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS friendship card featuring several Avery Elle sets. And yes, I did just post another owl card! I decided that I’d feature owls all week!

Avery Elle Owl

I Copic-colored the owl and butterfly from Woodland Wonders placing the owl on a tree cut with the Tree die set and embossed with a Stampin’ Up folder. (We have a lot of trees that look like this in our neighborhood, especially after an abundance of winter storms.) The card background was colored with Distress Inks, and I added ink to the dry-embossed tree as well so that the dry-embossing would stand out. I needed something to fill that blue sky, so I added clouds cut with the Simple Puffy Cloud Frames set. Finally, I cut several of the Hello sentiment with the Sentimental die set and glued them together for depth.
