Penny Black Simplicity: Die-Cut Blooms

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS card featuring Penny Black products from the BLISS 2017 release.

Penny Black Simplicity Floral

The 51-330 Beautiful Blossom set includes dies for the overlay and the blossom underneath, making it easy to create the blossoms! I colored white cardstock with Distress Inks – Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Ripe Persimmon – for the blossoms. I cut the overlays from white cardstock. I assembled the flowers only at their center part so that I could add dimension by pulling the overlay up away from the blossom underneath. I cut the greenery with the 51-308 Bold Branch die from white cardstock which had been colored with Mowed Lawn and Shabby Shutters Distress Inks. Using a Clarity brush, I added Tumbled Glass to the card background before stamping a sentiment from the 30-418 Stitched Flowers stamp set.

Penny Black Simplicity – Colorful CAS Die-cut Fish

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a card featuring Penny Black products from the BLISS 2017 release. Using one of the dies in the 51-314 Fancy Fish set, I cut two fish (reversing the cardstock for the second fish). I colored the fish with a variety of Distress Inks. I backed the die cuts with solid white cardstock and used Nuvo drops for the eyes.

I placed the fish on a card background colored with Distress Ink using a Clarity stencil brush. I used a sentiment from 30-419 Happy Wishes and clear droplets to finish this CAS card.

Taylored Expressions Easter Treat Packaging

Hello! Today, I’m sharing an Easter Treat packaging idea created with Taylored Expressions stamps and dies.

I used the recently released Matchbox to create a box for an Easter chocolate. I decorated the outside of the box with a Copic-colored bunny from the Peek-a-Boo Easter stamp set. I dry-embossed the box with the Swiss Hearts embossing folder.

For the inside of the box, I stamped the sentiment on cardstock, which I cut with one of the dies in the Matchbox set.

Only Hearts Can Build A Home

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a card created with Taylored Expressions dies and stamps.

TE Home Sweet Home

Last week, I shared a 3-D house created with the Home Sweet Home set. I used the same die to create a house die-cut, simply by trimming off the tabs from the die-cut shape (to build the 3-D house, you cut the shape twice and add a roof). I used the Home Sweet Home Accessories to add the trim, flower boxes and foliage.

I stamped one part of the sentiment from There’s No Place Like Home on the front and the other half inside the card!

Dream Big – Penny Black Simplicity

Today, I’m sharing a watercolored card created with Penny Black supplies.

I watercolored the 40-445 Flower Box image, which I stamped with VersaFine ink on watercolor paper, with Zig Clear Color Real Brush markers, watercolor pencils and watercolors.  Once dry, I trimmed the panel down and added it to a custom-sized card base.

I die cut the 51-340 Dream Big sentiment twice (for added depth) and added it to the image over a vellum circle.
