Let It Snow – CAS Die-cut Winter Card

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS winter-themed card featuring the Elizabeth Crafts Skis die-cuts. I am transitioning from Christmas cards to winter-themed ones (I like many holiday cards so much, it is a tough transition!).

CAS Winter-themed Die-cut Card

I created the background with the Taylored Expressions Buffalo Plaid Background stamp. I used the Impression Obsession Fir Tree Border for a layer between the base and the stamped ski slope. The sentiment is from an older Hero Arts set.

Winter Wonderland

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a holiday card which showcases the Elizabeth Craft Designs Build a Snowman die set.

Winter Wonderland

I applied embossing paste to the background ( Stampin’ Up Dapper Denim) through the Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow stencil (I use this stencil so often during the holidays that I just leave it out). I placed the snowman and broom against a landscape cut with the Memory Box Fresh Pine Curved Border to which I added a few Memory Box Fresh Pine Trees. The sentiment is from the Papertrey Ink Two Feet Deep set.

Let It Snow – Merry Monday Christmas Challenge Summer Link-up

Hello! I’m still playing along with the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge Summer Link-up (sadly, this challenge no longer is existence) with a CAS snow/ski-themed card featuring the Elizabeth Crafts’ Skis die set.

Merry Monday Christmas Summer Link-up

I began by die-cutting and assembling the skis and poles. I added Vintage Photo Distress ink to the skis for a little bit more color. I stamped the Hero Arts Let It Snow sentiment on white cardstock, which I die-cut with the mountain die in the Elizabeth Crafts’ Skis die set. I dry-embossed the MFT Stamps Timber Green cardstock base with the Taylored Expressions Cable Knit embossing folder for texture.

Deck the Halls!

Hello. Today, I’m sharing a winter Christmas scene featuring the Elizabeth Craft Designs Holiday House.

Elizabeth Crafts Holiday House

I placed the house in a forest scene (trees created with the Memory Box Fresh Pine Forest die). I used a Simon Says Stamp stencil for the snow. I added Liquid Applique to the house trim to simulate snow, although I considered creating those pieces either from glitter paper or using Elizabeth Crafts microfine glitter. I used Elizabeth Crafts microfine glitter on the wreath. There are so many ways to cut out these pieces, and I can’t wait to try some more variations.

Christmas Mice

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a Christmas card featuring the Elizabeth Craft Designs  Jolly the Mouse die set.

Christmas Mice

I die cut and assembled three mice, decorating them with items from the Props 5 set (Santa hat, candy cane, beard, moustache, glasses). For the pink used on their feet, hands, ears and noses, I colored cardstock with Taylored Expressions Cupcake ink to get just the right shade.

I used the Stitched Hillside Border set to create layers and kept building until all three mice had a place on the card. The card is just a little bit taller than 5 1/2 inches. The patterned paper background is from American Crafts.

I added a long sentiment from the Merry Messages set.
