“So I said to the cat…”

Today, I’m sharing a CAS “hello” card created with Memory Box and Poppystamps supplies.

Cat + Bird Hello

I have made many cards with this walking cat die (it’s the perfect size, it works for a number of different scenes and it reminds me of a black cat, named “Decaf”, that we had when my sons were young). For this card, I thought it would be fun to pair the cat with a bird in a birdhouse. I don’t see the cat as necessarily menacing, but then again, do we really ever know what a cat is thinking? I usually make my scenes more realistic (by adding grass, fence, flowers) but kept this one abstract.

Good Tidings – Die Cut Christmas Scene

Today I’m sharing a Christmas scene using die cuts.

I cut the Poppystamps Elegant Stair Frame from the white cardstock and attached it to the card base, which I’d covered with patterned paper. I created the sentiment on my computer using a sentiment set from Ali Edwards. I decorated the tree with ornaments I cut with the Cabrini Ornament die from red, silver and gold cardstock. To finish off the card, I added a cat cut with an Impression Obsession die set.

Merry Christmas!

Winter Wishes – Memory Box Cabrini Ornament Die

Today I’m sharing a CAS holiday card showcasing the Memory Box Cabrini Ornament die.

I used the die to cut red, green and brushed silver cardstock, piecing the ornament together. I added a red bow to secure the ornament to the white tag.

Supplies: Memory Box Tiny Bow, American Crafts patterned paper

Fall Hello Die Cut Tag

Today I’m sharing a fall-themed tag featuring the Taylored Expressions Little Bits Fox.

I combined the die cut fox with several favorite scene builders – the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border and Impression Obsession Beach Fence. The sentiment, from a retired Hero Arts set, was stamped on a Memory Box cloud.

Hope your week is off to a great start!

Pacific Northwest Beach Scene

Today I’m sharing a CAS “just because” card inspired by the Pacific Northwest summer. There’s nothing like a sunny day on the Puget Sound!

The sentiment is from the Hero Arts Good Friends set (I’ve had this set for several years and really like the typeface of the sentiments). I first stamped it in black ink, but that seemed too harsh with the other colors, so I stamped it in white pigment ink. After I finished the card, I thought it needed a little something, so I added some May Arts twine to soften the bottom of the image.
