Penny Black – Mixed Media Hello

Hello! Today, I am sharing a mixed-media card created with Penny Black supplies. I previously shared a card with the 40-728 Entranced stamp in this post.

To create the background, I stamped 40-254 Decadence on to tissue paper and collaged it to white cardstock. I applied several Distress products to grunge it up.
I stamped the “brushstroke” 40-728 Entranced image with Distress paint on to that surface.
When dry, I added collage medium over the entire image. When that layer was dry, I added Distress ink to the corners, as well as Picket Fence Distress paint.
I cut the sentiment with the 51-638 Thanks & Hello set from cardstock that I had collaged with pre-printed tissue paper. I added Picket Fence Distress paint to the letters to mute the paper’s pattern.

Penny Black – Daydream Hello

Hello! I am sharing a CAS, spring-themed Hello card that features products in the Penny Black Daydream release.

I cut the 51-650 Viridescent leaves, inlaying the white frame with green leaves. I achieved this by first cutting from white cardstock, putting tape on the back of the white frame, and cutting the leaves and placing them into the frame from the front.
I cut the sentiment with the 51-638 Thanks & Hello set from gold foil and white cardstock, which I glued together for depth.
I added Distress Ink to the center of a white A2-size card base.
I adhered the assembled leaves at the top and the bottom of the card.
I glued the letters to the center, using the die-cut negative as a guide.
I added the die-cut birds, cut with the 51-657 Wildwood set from textured cardstock, with foam adhesive.

Penny Black – Entranced

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS card created with two stamps from the Penny Black Daydream release.

To create the card, which measures 4 1/2″ x 6 1/4″, I followed the directions for the first card shown in this post from 2016.

I used several Distress Ink products to stamp the “brushstroke” 40-728 Entranced. Find info and inspiration on the Penny Black blog about the “brushstroke” stamps in this release.
Once I finished stamping, I sprinkled on Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine Spray.
When the droplets were dry, I stamped the 30-799 Friendship Sentiments sentiment.

I am looking forward to stamping the same image with paint, as I did in the aforementioned post.

Penny Black Friendship

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS, friendship-themed card showcasing two new products from the Penny Black Daydream release, along with some Penny Black favorites.

I stamped the 30-799 Friendship Sentiments sentiment on soft-blue cardstock.
I cut the 51-639 Fern Border from cardstock.
I cut the 51-636 Dainty Dashes Stackers panel from white cardstock, and by cutting the center with a rectangular die, I created a frame.
I glued a portion of the 51-639 Fern Border to the bottom of the frame.
I added the frame to the sentiment panel.
I adhered the panel to a dry-embossed, soft yellow cardstock background.
I added butterflies cut with a die in 51-132 Flights of Fancy from coral cardstock for embellishment.

Penny Black Daisy Hello

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS, spring-themed card showcasing two die sets from the Penny Black Daydream release.

I die-cut the back panel with the 51-637 Bunch of Daisies die.
I backed the piece with white cardstock and inlaid the daisy stems and centers (having used the same die to cut those pieces).
I cut the sentiment with the 51-638 Thanks & Hello set.
I glued the letters to a white, textured cardstock band, using the negative for placement.
I cut a frame from pink, textured cardstock, adhered the sentiment band to the back of the frame, and adhered the assembly to the daisy panel.
