Spellbinders | May 2023 Clubs Inspiration Blog Hop

Welcome to my blog! I am sharing a birthday card with the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month Club set “Balloons and Birthday Wishes” as part of a blog hop showcasing the May 2023 Club Subscriptions. The list of participants is included at the end of my post.

With its versatile designs, including a banner with flowers and a variety of sayings, this set makes it easy to create stunning and personalized cards for any occasion. In my recent project, I used a beautiful navy blue, floral, patterned paper for the card base background and added a pink banner with white lettering to convey the birthday message. To add a touch of elegance and charm, I also included pink and white flowers and a bird as embellishments. This handmade card is not only beautiful, but also thoughtful and unique, making it a perfect gift for your loved ones on their special day.

- Add card kit patterned paper to A2-size card base.
- With the Balloons & Birthday Wishes set, cut banner pieces from Pink Sand and Snowdrift cardstock. Add Spun Sugar ink to pink cardstock edges; assemble banner.
- Cut sentiment from Snowdrift cardstock and add to banner. Add assembly to patterned paper background.
- Cut flower pieces and leaves from Pink Sand, Snowdrift, and light green cardstock. Assemble and add to card with glue and foam adhesive.
- Cut bird from Pink Sand and Snowdrift cardstock.
- Embellish with Silver Mix Gems.

Spellbinders | April 2023 Quick & Easy Card Kit

Hello! I am sharing four cards created with the Spellbinders April 2023 Quick & Easy Card Kit of the Month.

The “Happy Skies Ahead” kit includes 6×6 patterned paper, die cut shapes, sticker sentiments, embellishments, card bases, sequins, and more!

Tips for how to create cards with the kit:

Cut patterned paper with largest Essential Rectangles die and add to a card base, included in the kit.

Add elements to card using foam adhesive to create depth.

Mix chipboard and die cut shapes for variety.

Quiet patterned paper with vellum, as well as ground the focal image, by adding a circle cut from vellum with a die in the Everlasting Circles set.

Use existing supplies such as the Sun Burst stencil to create a background.

Spellbinders | March 2023 Quick & Easy Card Kit

Hello! I am sharing four cards created with the Spellbinders March 2023 Quick & Easy Card Kit of the Month. The “Bee Yourself” kit includes 6×6 patterned paper, die cut shapes, sticker sentiments, embellishments, card bases, sequins, and more!

Add visual interest with the background patterned paper by cutting it with dies in the Essential Rectangles set. The dot pattern adds a delicate border that suits the card theme.

Use the sequins included in the kit for a shaker card. With a die in the Essential Arches set, cut an arch from patterned paper and again from two layers of glitter foam. Sandwich the assembly with a sheet of acetate between the patterned paper on the front and the foam. Back the assembly, after adding the sequins, with patterned paper and a card base. Affix elements to acetate and the card front.

Add sequins as an embellishment for visual interest.

With a die in the Essential Ovals set, cut an oval from cardstock included in the kit to ground the focal elements against the patterned paper background.
