Spring: You Make Me Happy!

Today, I’m sharing a “just because” die-cut spring scene card, created with Taylored Expressions stamps and dies.

Taylored Expressions Spring Scene

The sentiment is from the just-released Let’s Talk Sentiments stamp set (it fits perfectly on the larger cloud in the Cloud Duo set). I built the CAS die-cut scene around the Garden Arbor & Gate to which I added spring-themed elements, such as the boots from Door to Door Spring Decor and the Little Bits – Umbrella. The background is textured with the Weathered embossing folder (technically debossed).

I created a spring-themed CAS card with Taylored Expressions die cuts:

The focal point of the card is the sweet In the Garden scene framed with Picture Perfect – Sunny Days. I couldn’t resist adding a bird cut with the Little Bits – Birds set. I dry-embossed the card base with the Flower Power embossing folder.

How You Doin’?

Today, I’m sharing a CAS spring-themed card created with Avery Elle stamps and dies.

I paired a sentiment from the Simply Said You set with images from the Storybook set. I stamped and heat-embossed the duck and bird on watercolor paper and colored with Distress Inks before cutting with their corresponding dies. The background was created with Distress Inks, which I applied by creating a mask from vellum, which I cut with a die in the Dotted Borders set. The sentiment was heat-embossed on a panel cut with one of the Double Pierced Rectangle dies, from which I cut out a circle.

Hope your Monday is off to a great start! Spring is just around the corner!

Lawn Fawn Happy Easter

With Valentine’s Day now in the rear-view mirror, I’m sharing an Easter card created with several Lawn Fawn sets.

The Pretty Pink Posh Storybook frame makes it easy to coordinate stamped images without building large scenes. The bunnies are actually from a winter Lawn Fawn set.

CAS Mixed Media Friendship card

Today I’m sharing a CAS friendship card featuring an umbrella die cut against a background created with a raindrop stencil and embossing paste.

Jean Manis Life Is GoodAfter stamping the card base, I applied embossing paste, which I colored with Salty Ocean Distress Ink, through the Raindrops stencil (I selectively masked off portions of the stencil so that the umbrella would appear to be keeping the sentiment dry. Once the embossing paste dried, I adhered the umbrella die cut. The canopy of the umbrella was cut from cardstock which I had colored with a combination of Distress Inks (reds and a little yellow) for a different project.
