Reverse Confetti Spooktacular

Hello! Today I am sharing a slimline Halloween-themed card featuring the Reverse Confetti Spooktacular stamp set with coordinating die set.

Reverse Confetti Spooktacular

  • I stamped and Copic-colored the Spooktacular images and cut them out with their coordinating dies.
  • I heat-embossed the sentiment (in the same set) on a black cardstock strip.
  • I cut the stars using dies in the coordinating die set (the dies coordinate with stamped images).
  • I cut circles from cardstock that was cut first with the Reverse Confetti Pointed Cover Plate.

  • I added the circles and sentiment to a 3 1/4″ x 8 1/4″ white cardstock panel, which I matted with a 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ patterned paper base.
  • I added the colored images to the circles with foam adhesive and the stars with glue.

Spellbinders Becca Feeken’s Picot Petite Collection

Hello! I was recently a guest on the Spellbinders blog where I shared three CAS holiday cards featuring the recently-released Picot Petite Collection by Becca Feeken. While I created cards for Christmas, the collection is suitable for a variety of occasions including engagement, wedding, and anniversary. All three cards combine glimmer-foiled sentiments and metallic cardstock die-cuts.

Spellbinders October 2020 Small Die of the Month

Hello! Today, I am sharing two fall-themed cards created with this month’s Small Die of the Month kit at Spellbinders – “Fall Leaves Card Creator.”

Spellbinders October 2020 Small Die of the Month

On the first card, (A2-size, off-white, linen-textured base), I used the Small Die of the Month set to create a rectangular frame of Brush Gold. The set contains a corner piece and a joiner piece, which can be added to form either a rectangle (as shown) or 5 1/2″ square (if the joiner piece is used on all sides).

  • I cut foliage from Bristol board, to which I had applied fall colors, and glued the pieces to the frame.
  • I cut the sentiment from Brush Gold and placed it in the center of the frame.

My second card, a 4 1/4″ square, uses the set’s corner pieces.

  • I cut the Small Die of the Month corner pieces from Bristol board and applied ink to the pieces starting in the corner with the darkest ink.
  • I added the assembled frame to a 4″ square on which I had glimmer foiled a sentiment from the Everyday Sentiments II set in Gold.
  • The card base was created with wood-textured card stock.

Penny Black Harvest Breeze

  • I stamped and Copic-colored the hedgehog and foliage images using the 30-722 Harvest Breeze set.
  • I cut the images with the 51-682 Harvest Breeze Cut Out dies.
  • I cut the stamped sentiment using a die in the 51-007 Tagged set.
  • I colored Bristol board with a combination of Distress Inks which I cut with a circle die three times.
  • I added the circles to the card base and added the images with dot adhesive and foam adhesive.

Copic colors – Fur: E53, E55, E57, E59; Body: E30, R20; Acorn: E37, E99

What I like about this card: I especially like the hedgehog images; I’m thrilled that Penny Black is making more coordinating die sets for their images. I’m also drawn to the colors of fall, and it was fun incorporating the colors into the coloring and the ink choices for the circles.
