Lawn Fawn Hello Spring

Hello! Today I am sharing an Easter-/spring-scene created with Lawn Fawn supplies. It’s a sunny day here in the Pacific Northwest.

Lawn Fawn Hello Spring

  • I die-cut the pieces using the Build-A-House, Build-A-House Christmas (door), and the Scalloped Treat Box Spring Add-On die sets. I assembled the house and tree with glue.
  • I stamped the sentiment (masking part of it) on to white cardstock and cut it with the medium-sized  cloud die. I also cut a cloud with the largest die in the same set.
  • I added a 3/4″ Field Day (green) cardstock strip to the Sea Glass (light blue) card base. Note: the card base is 5 1/2″ wide by 4 3/4″ tall to accommodate the height of the house. (The house can be assembled to be shorter by placing the roof lower and the bottom board higher.)
  • I attached the assembled pieces with dot roller and foam adhesive to the base.

Penny Black Peeps Parade

Hello! Today I am sharing a playful, spring- and/or Easter-themed card inspired by Peeps, the marshmallow candy. I die-cut the elements using a variety of Penny Black sets, including several from the newest collection – Secret Garden.

  • Using the #51-596 Bird and Branch set, I cut the chicks from bright cardstock – SU Tempting Turquoise (now retired), SU Pineapple Punch, and Taylored Expressions Lollipop. I adhered their eyes and beaks.
  • I used the #51-630 Rolling Hills and #51-623 Pretty Picket sets to create a background for the scene.
  • I die-cut the sentiment using the #51-040 Hello Frame die.
  • I embellished the scene with butterflies cut with one of the butterfly dies in the #51-132 Flights of Fancy set.

I used several of these same supplies on this card.

Lawn Fawn Spring-Scene Window

Hello! Today, I am sharing one of my favorite card motifs – the window – on a CAS spring- and/or Easter-themed card created with a combination of Lawn Fawn supplies. I’m noticing that I am really drawn to yellow these days!

Lawn Fawn Spring-Scene Window

  • I cut the Wonderful Window pieces from white cardstock, backing the heart cut-out with red cardstock.
  • I created the scene (through the window) using the Scalloped Treat Box Spring die set. I used the same set to cut flowers and greenery for the window box.
  • I stamped the Simply Sentiments sentiment on to the yellow background panel.

24 Carrot – March 2020 Spellbinders Small Die of the Month

Hello and Happy March! 2020 is flying by. Today I am sharing two cards created with the March Small Die of the Month kit from Spellbinders – “24 Carrot.” The set includes nine dies with which you can create spring- and Easter-themed cards. Let’s take a look!

My first card features the carrot and two bunnies on a playful card using the “What’s Up?” sentiment included in the set.

  • I began by cutting patterned paper for the card background.
  • I cut the carrot frame from orange cardstock. Using the negative piece, I traced the shape on to patterned paper. I cut the patterned paper and adhered the carrot outline to it. I added carrot tops cut from green cardstock. I then added the die-cut sentiment.
  • I cut the bunnies from white cardstock to which I added the ear pieces. The eyes and noses were inlaid.
  • The Easter egg, held by the bunny on the left, was cut with a die in the Festive Wreath Slider set.
  • I embellished with flowers and greenery on the left side.

For my second card, I placed one of the bunnies on top of a wreath constructed using the foliage dies included in the set.

  • To begin, I cut a circle from patterned paper to which I added the die-cut greenery.
  • I constructed the bunny as I did on the first card.
  • I stamped the sentiment on to patterned paper (panel measures 4″ x 4″) and added it to a white, linen-textured 4 1/4″ square card base.
  • I added the wreath to the card and adhered the bunny with foam adhesive.
  • I embellished the wreath with flowers.

Penny Black Die-cut Birthday Wishes

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS birthday card created with two Penny Black die sets – #51-609 Balloons and #51-338 Birthday. The #51-609 Balloons die set is part of their most recent collection – Secret Garden.

Penny Black Die-cut Birthday Wishes

  • The Balloons die set includes two balloon sizes. I cut both sizes from bright-colored cardstock (the green and orange balloons were cut with the smaller die, the pink and yellow with the bigger one).
  • I arranged the balloons in an overlapping fashion. I adhered the arrangement to the base and trimmed the panel.
  • I cut the Happy Birthday sentiment three times from white cardstock for extra depth.
  • I added the bows and strings to the balloons before adhering the sentiment.
