Penny Black “Secret Garden” Die-cut Scene

Hello! Today I am sharing a spring-themed card featuring products from Penny Black’s “Secret Garden” release.

This release is packed with stamps and dies well-suited for a multitude of spring occasions. There are a number of scene-building dies in this release, many of which I’ve used on my card.

I stamped the background with a sentiment in the #30-703 Blooming Sentiments set.
I cut the tree, flowers, bird, and heart with the #51-596 Bird and Branch set.
I used the #51-630 Rolling Hills and #51-623 Pretty Picket sets to add to the scene and accessorized the foreground with the #51-635 Buckets of Flowers set.

Elizabeth Craft Designs – Die-cut Scene

Hello! Today I am sharing a die-cut scene created with Elizabeth Craft Designs die sets.

- I cut the Honey Bear (now retired) pieces and Forest Accessories (now retired) pieces from soft-finish cardstock. I colored the pieces with Distress Inks.
- I assembled the bear with glue.
- I created the sentiment on my computer, printed out the card front, and applied Tumbled Glass ink.
- I added the scene pieces to the card front and then added the assembled bear with foam adhesive.

Paper Smooches – Cacti Scene

Hello! Today I’m sharing a die-cut scene created with the Cacti die set from Paper Smooches. This card is a change of pace now that Valentine’s Day is in the rear-view mirror.

I colored white cardstock with a variety of Distress Inks and cut it with dies in the Cacti die set.
I added the needles and blooms to the cacti and placed them into pots.
I stamped the Fun and Flirty sentiment on to the card base.
From a horizon line, I applied Distress Inks for the sky and for the ground, masking with a vellum strip.
I added the cacti and other plants to the scene.

Hello! Today I am sharing a Valentine created with a variety of Lawn Fawn products including the Mom + Me stamp set. I’ve had a lot of fun digging out various supplies to create more non-traditional, less formal Valentines.

I stamped the owl and tree stump from the Mom + Me set, colored the images with Copic markers and colored pencils, and cut the images with their coordinating dies.
I cut the card base with the largest die in the Outside In Stitched Scallop Square Stacklets set.
I cut a 4″ square with the Lawn Fawn Dotted Square die set and embossed it with the Woodgrain Backdrop die.
I cut a heart from patterned paper.
I stamped the Mom + Me sentiment and cut it with a banner die in the Extra Sentiments set.
I cut small hearts using dies in the Wonderful Window and the Speech Bubbles sets for accents.

Penny Black – Die-cut Valentine

Hello! Today I am sharing a die-cut Valentine combining several die sets from Penny Black .

I cut the pieces of the #51-501 Hanging Planters from colored cardstock and cardstock to which I had applied Distress Inks.
I cut the XOXO sentiment with a die in the #51-294 Filled with Love set from red cardstock.
I cut the hearts with dies in the #51-090 Little Ornaments and the #51-281 What’s in Your Cup? sets. (Finding these little hearts was a happy discovery.)
I cut the yellow frame with the square frame in the #51-422 Stitched Square and Circles set and a circle die.
I sponged Tumbled Glass ink on to white cardstock and added the panel to the back of the frame.
I added the assembled planters, tucking the tops of the macrame hangers under the frame.
I adhered the sentiment with foam adhesive.
