Reverse Confetti Concentration/Memory Card Game

Today, I’m sharing a card game project created with Reverse Confetti stamps and Confetti Cuts. The game is “Concentration” (also known as the “memory game”) and requires pairs of cards.

I chose eight pairs for a total of sixteen cards. I stamped animals from the Later Alligator, Monkey Business, Leaping Lions and The Tweet Life stamp sets onto colored cardstock.

Concentrationstamping

Next, I cut the animals with their corresponding Confetti Cuts sets. I also cut sixteen playing card bases with the Woodgrain Confetti Cuts die from heavyweight white cardstock. The die cut is the perfect size for playing cards and the woodgrain gives a great texture. I adhered the animal die cuts onto the backside of the cards.

Concentrationcards

To play the game, the cards are flipped so that the images are hidden. The first player flips over two cards attempting to make a match.

Concentrationnomatch

If the player doesn’t make a match, the cards are turned back over and the next player tries to make a match.

Concentrationmatch

If the player makes a match, that player wins the pair and gets another turn. The player who makes the most matches (and collect the most pairs) wins!

Taylored Expressions Sunshine

Today, I’m sharing a summer-themed card featuring Taylored Expressions die cuts.

SunshineTo begin, I cut the Rolling Waves in two shades of blue and adhered the waves onto the orange card base with dimensional adhesive. I tucked the sun into the corner, attaching it with dimensional adhesive. I cut the Pool Party border in white cardstock and adhered the Sunshine die cut in the corner with Tombow glue. I attached the border onto the waves with dimensional adhesive. I would love to be in this scene right now! Hope you’re having a wonderful day!

JulySFYTTSweetThanks

To accompany the ice cream cone, I die cut stars with the Oh My Stars set and adhered them to a banner cut with a die from the Stitched Flag Trio set. I heat embossed a sentiment from Donut You Know.

I hope you’ll play along! Head on over to link up your card on the Reverse Confetti Blog for your chance to win a $20 Reverse Confetti gift certificate and the title of ‘Fetti Fave!

Reverse Confetti Blog Hop

The wait is over! REVERSE CONFETTI has just released FIVE stamp sets, SIX Confetti Cuts and “Weather or Dot {and Stripes}” Quick Card Panels.

The hop started on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Lisa’s blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all the new Reverse Confetti stamp sets and dies!

GreatDay

My CAS project highlights the just released Posted Note Confetti Cuts set with a sentiment from Posted Note Sentiments. I die cut the note stand out of three colors of cardstock (choosing colors to match the Quick Card Panel I used to ground the stand). I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock that I cut with a rectangle die. The sentiments from Posted Note Sentiments look just as if they were penned by hand – so fun and versatile!

I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today. Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of EVERY MONTH for more REVERSE CONFETTI inspiration! Now it’s time to hop on over to Kathy’s blog. If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop order and list of all the participating designers over on the Reverse Confetti blog.

Reverse Confetti Countdown to Confetti Day Three

It’s Day Three of the Countdown to Confetti at Reverse Confetti! Today, Reverse Confetti introduces My World and the Globe Confetti Cuts.

WorldtoMe

I stamped a sentiment from My World onto a white cardstock panel. With the Globe Confetti Cuts set, I cut the heart out of patterned paper and the globe stand out of brushed silver cardstock, attaching the assembled globe onto the constellation-themed patterned paper. I finished the card off with some baker’s twine.

There are two $15 gift certificates up for grabs – one for blog commenters and one for Facebook commenters. Increase your chance of winning by leaving a comment on each sneak peek post for each designer. Comments will close at noon CST on July 7th and the winner will be announced at 5pm on July 7th on the Reverse Confetti blog and FB page.
