Spellbinders | Add to Cart Too

Hello! Today, I am sharing a die-cut card featuring the Spellbinders Add to Cart Too Collection. I envisioned someone shopping at Home Depot for spring gardening supplies, hence the bright orange cart. In fact, it would be fun to include a gift card. Change the cart color for a different store, such as red for Target.

In the spring of 2022, I posted a card using products from the collection here. Around the same time, I wrote a guest post for the Spellbinders blog with three projects using products from the collection. Until now, I have not used the 3D Shopping Cart, and I was anxious to give it a try!

To create the background: Stamp Shopping Run sentiment in black in on Snowdrift cardstock. Using vellum on the horizon line, apply Tumbled Glass Oxide ink to the sky and Black Soot Oxide ink to the ground.
Cut the 3D Shopping Cart from orange, Onyx, silver foil cardstock; assemble.
Using the assembled cart for placement, trim stamped panel and add to card base.
Cut plants, spade, hat, flamingo, and watering can with dies in the Plant It Here, In the Garden, and Shopping Run die sets from a variety of cardstock colors. Assemble, add Distress Ink to edges, and add to the cart.

Spellbinders | Happy Birthday Balloons

Hello! Today, I am sharing a birthday card created with the Spellbinders Color Block Balloons die set. Again, I am using the design principle of repetition – on the card, there are ten balloons of different colors. I used the Color Block Balloons die set on another card here.

With the smallest die in the Color Block Balloons set, cut balloons from colored cardstock and the highlight piece and string from Snowdrift cardstock. Assemble.
Stamp Let’s Celebrate sentiment in black on Snowdrift. Cut with a banner die. (I used one that accompanied a glimmer foil sentiment set.)
Add balloons and sentiment to Sea Glass card base.

Spellbinders | Thinking of You

Hello! Today I am sharing another card showcasing the adorable Spellbinders Duck with Umbrella die set (this time without an umbrella). See my previous card using the set here.

Create background by inking Squeezed Lemonade ink through the Sun Burst stencil on Snowdrift cardstock.
Stamp I’ve Got You Covered sentiment in black ink on green cardstock.
Trim stenciled sun and sentiment panels for A2-size background. Add to card base.
Cut fence from Snowdrift cardstock with die in the Build a Spring Birdhouse set. Add to background.
Cut duck and clothing from cardstock; assemble. Add to scene with foam adhesive.
Embellish scene with flowers cut with dies in the Build a Spring Birdhouse set.

Lawn Fawn | Teacup Valentine

Hello! Today I am sharing a Valentine created with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Teacup set. I have previously created cards with the set here and here.

- Cut cups with the Stitched Teacup set from patterned paper and Chocolate Bar cardstock; assemble stack. (Teacups are taped together on the back.)
- Stamp Simply Celebrate Hearts sentiment on white cardstock. Cut with largest rectangle in the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables set (3 3/4 inches by 5 inches). Add stamped panel to Sea Glass cardstock card base.
- Embellish with a sugar cube (included in the Stitched Teacup set) and hearts cut with dies in the Speech Bubbles set and Mini Picture Frames set (the smaller heart).

Spellbinders | Club Kits Teacup Bouquet

Hello! Today I am sharing a friendship card on which I have combined two of the Spellbinders February 2023 Club Kits – the Large Die of the Month and the Spring Tea die set.

Glimmer-foil the Inside Card sentiment in Gold on Seaglass cardstock.
Cut sentiment panel with dies in the Essential Rectangles set. Add to textured, white cardstock base.
Cut teacup from coral cardstock with die in the Spring Tea set; adhere handle to cup.
Cut floral pieces with the Large Die of the Month set from Snowdrift, soft yellow, and green cardstock. Fussy-cut greenery to fill teacup. Assemble bouquet and add to teacup. using foam adhesive as necessary for depth.
Add the teacup bouquet to the card background with foam adhesive; embellish card with Gold Mix Gems.
