Newton’s Nook Cup of Cocoa

Hello! Today, I am sharing a winter-themed card created with the Newton’s Nook Cup of Cocoa stamp set. I just could not resist this set and plan to use it again this upcoming fall and winter.

I stamped several of the hot beverage options and colored the images with Copic markers and colored pencils.

For the background, I stamped the sentiment and applied Tumbled Glass and Hickory Smoke inks to the background with a Clarity Brush. The card base was dry-embossed with a Taylored Expressions embossing folder.

Happy Birthday – Simon Says Stamp Picture Book Animals

Hello! Today, I am sharing a birthday card created with four of the Simon Says Stamp Picture Book Animals – Cat, Bear, Panda, and Dog.

After die-cutting and assembling the animals, I inked a panel with several Distress Oxide inks and cut it with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Cloud Backdrop for the background. I inked another panel and cut it with one of the Arched Stitching Borders. The arched border covers the bottoms of the animals. I stamped the border with a sentiment in the Lawn Fawn Grand Greetings set (now retired).

I can’t wait to create another card with one (or more) of the Picture Book Animals!

Simon Says Stamp Ornate Background – Count Our Blessings

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS encouragement/friendship card that showcases the Simon Says Stamp Ornate Background stamp (there are so many different ways to use this stamp!).

I clear heat-embossed the background and applied a variety of Distress Oxide inks to the panel including Abandoned Coral, Peacock Feathers, Wild Honey and Twisted Citron.

I white heat-embossed a sentiment from the You Got This set on dark gray cardstock popping it up with foam adhesive.

Simon Says Stamp LOVE Release

Hello! Today, I’m delighted to be sharing a CAS friendship/encouragement card created with the Simon Says Stamp Happy Clouds die as part of their LOVE release!

Simon Says Stamp Happy Clouds

I die-cut the Happy Clouds and backed them with black cardstock. I added a little color to the cheeks of two of the clouds with a Copic marker. I set those aside and stamped the sentiment from the You Got This set (lots of great sentiments for all sorts of occasions) on to a inked panel, (created with Distress  Oxide inks in Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, and Peacock Feathers). Before adding the clouds to the panel, I applied BoBunny Sugar Glitter Paste to the background through the smallest raindrops on the Raindrops stencil.

Once the raindrops were dry, I added the clouds, popping up two of them with foam adhesive. For subtle texture, the card base was die-cut with the Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop.

Taylored Expressions – Friendship Die-cut Card

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS friendship card, right for any season, featuring die-cut fish from the Roly Poly – Fish set paired with a sentiment from Roly Poly Sentiments.

Taylored Expressions Friendship Die-cut Card

To begin, I stamped the card base with Cookie Monster ink with the Striped Background. I die-cut the Roly Poly – Fish from Potato Chip and Candy Corn cardstock. The sentiment was heat-embossed on a square panel, to which I added the porthole, cut with dies in the Stitched Circle Stacklets set, and the fish. Thanks for visiting today!
