Lawn Fawn – Happy Mail

Hello and Happy July! Today, I’m sharing a CAS “just because” card featuring supplies from Lawn Fawn.

Lawn Fawn Happy Mail

I had more layers on my design originally (I was planning to heat-emboss the sentiment on a strip of green grass) but decided I was just cluttering up the card (plus I wasn’t using green anywhere else).

Penny Black – Floral Die Cuts

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a bold, summer-themed, CAS card created with Penny Black stamps and dies.

Penny Black Floral Die Cuts

I die-cut the larger blooms using one of the dies in the 51-262 Poinsettia Bough set (I used this die set on holiday cards shown here and here). The smaller bloom was cut with a die in the 51-050 Tweet Things set and the greenery with the 51-119 Flower Frolic die.

I heat-embossed one of the sentiments in the 30-418 Stitched Flowers set on black cardstock. To finish, I added butterflies cut with a die in the 51-132 Flights of Fancy. The background is a subtle woodgrain patterned paper. All of the colored cardstock is from Stampin’ Up.

Taylored Expressions – CAS Patriotic Stars

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS patriotic card combining the Taylored Expressions Lucky Stars Stamp & Die Combo and Simply Said – 4th of July sets.

The Lucky Stars Stamp & Die Combo set made the creation of this card a breeze! I stamped the stars in three different ink colors and then used the corresponding die to cut them out. I used the negative piece as a template for attaching them to the stitched rectangle, on which I had stamped the sentiment from the Simply Said – 4th of July set.

For subtle texture, I used the Weathered embossing folder for the card base.

Taylored Expressions – Feminine Nautical Card

Hello! I’ve been busy making summer cards and the nautical theme is one of my favorites. My CAS card created with Taylored Expressions products uses a less traditional color combination. (I really like red, white, and blue, and the usual colors for nautical cards, but I wanted to try something a bit different.)

I stamped the Striped Background in Salt Water Taffy ink on Sugar Cube cardstock. I die-cut a circle in the background panel to expose the heat-embossed Seas the Day sentiment. I added the die-cut Little Bits – Sailboat as an embellishment. When I finished the card needed a little something, so I sprinkled on TE Sequins – Hello Happiness!

Penny Black – Bold CAS Card

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a bold CAS card created with Penny Black stamps and dies.

I cut the 51-235 Swirled Squares from black cardstock and adhered them to Stampin’ Up cardstock squares. To simplify alignment, I taped the squares together on the back. (I first considered adding white space between them, but that design didn’t leave enough margin on the sides and would have been more difficult to keep straight!) I added the assembled square to a card base stamped with one of the sentiments in the 30-418 Stitched Flowers set (a favorite as I’ve used it several times of late). To finish, I added butterflies cut with a die in the 51-132 Flights of Fancy (attached with foam adhesive).
