Whale Hello – Product Mash Up

Today, I’m sharing a CAS friendship card featuring a combination of products! Here in the Pacific Northwest we’re saying “Hello” to the whales returning to the area (we take whales very seriously in these parts!).

Whale Hello

I stamped the background with one of the stamps in the Wonky Backdrops set with several inks in my collection (I didn’t mind if the colors were mixed a bit). I colored the stamped whales from the Avery Elle Whale Hello set with both Copic markers and colored pencils and cut them with their coordinating die set. I used the largest die in the Lawn Cuts Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables set to cut out the background. The HELLO is a wooden stamp in my collection which I used for a heat-embossed sentiment cut with the smallest banner in the Lawn Cuts Extra Sentiment Banners set.

Penny Black Simplicity: Die-Cut Blooms

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS card featuring Penny Black products from the BLISS 2017 release.

Penny Black Simplicity Floral

The 51-330 Beautiful Blossom set includes dies for the overlay and the blossom underneath, making it easy to create the blossoms! I colored white cardstock with Distress Inks – Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Ripe Persimmon – for the blossoms. I cut the overlays from white cardstock. I assembled the flowers only at their center part so that I could add dimension by pulling the overlay up away from the blossom underneath. I cut the greenery with the 51-308 Bold Branch die from white cardstock which had been colored with Mowed Lawn and Shabby Shutters Distress Inks. Using a Clarity brush, I added Tumbled Glass to the card background before stamping a sentiment from the 30-418 Stitched Flowers stamp set.

Lawn Fawn – Meow You Doin’?

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS friendship card featuring the Lawn Fawn Meow You Doin’ stamp set.

Lawn Fawn Meow You Doin'?

I stamped and colored the images with Copic markers. My family had a Siamese cat named “Cocoa” when I was young (we’ve since had many other cats of varying breeds). These images are fun because you can color the cats as any number of breeds.

I added the cats and their accessories to a background dry-embossed with a Taylored Expressions folder.

Penny Black Simplicity – Colorful CAS Die-cut Fish

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a card featuring Penny Black products from the BLISS 2017 release. Using one of the dies in the 51-314 Fancy Fish set, I cut two fish (reversing the cardstock for the second fish). I colored the fish with a variety of Distress Inks. I backed the die cuts with solid white cardstock and used Nuvo drops for the eyes.

I placed the fish on a card background colored with Distress Ink using a Clarity stencil brush. I used a sentiment from 30-419 Happy Wishes and clear droplets to finish this CAS card.

TE March 2017 Release

The Mini Caps Alpha & #’s fit perfectly inside this set’s frames. I created a birthday card with the set, using the age of “29” since that’s an age many people say they are (after passing that age!).

My final card combines Little Bits – House with a sentiment from There’s No Place Like Home for a CAS card which could be used for a number of occasions.

When I stamped “HOME” I masked the “O” with a sticky note. I used a card base dry-embossed with the Subway Tiles embossing folder for texture.TE March 2017 Release
