Welcome Home – Taylored Expressions March 2017 Release Day Two

Hello! Welcome to Day Two of the Taylored Expressions March Sneak Peeks. This month’s products will be released Thursday, March 9 @ 7 AM PST!

My first card showcases the Little Bits – Cottage die in a CAS Welcome Home card.

TE March 2017 Release

Isn’t this a sweet cottage?! I added die-cut grass and flowers behind the cottage using the Home Sweet Home Accessories set along with the Build a Scene – Farm Fence. To create the background, I applied ink with one of the Clarity Stencil Brushes through a cardstock stencil I created with the Ray of Sunshine Cutting Plate. I added a sentiment from the There’s No Place Like Home set.

I’m sharing another home-themed card – this one combines a number of products in the March 2017 release with the previously released Eventful – In the Kitchen.

TE March 2017 Release

I imagined a subway-tiled kitchen, created with the Subway Tiles embossing folder. I accessorized with the Sitting Pretty Accessories and Sitting Pretty sets – my imaginary scene makes me want to incorporate more plants into my in real life kitchen. The There’s No Place Like Home sentiment was head embossed on the cardstock cut with the Eventful – In the Kitchen die. I used a Stitched Heart Stacklets to cover up the “O” in “HOME”.

Happy Home – TE March 2017 Release Sneak Peeks Day One

Hello! Welcome to Day One of the Taylored Expressions March Sneak Peeks. The products we are sneaking this week, suitable for a variety of occasions, will be released Thursday, March 9, 2017 @ 7 AM PST!

Today, I’m sharing cards combining die cuts and sentiments. This month’s released is packed with fabulous and creative dies!

TE March 2017 Release

My first card features the Sitting Pretty Accessories resting on the shelf in the Sitting Pretty set. I used a sentiment from Flowers for a Year which I stamped on a rectangle cut with a die in the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets set. I dry-embossed the card base with the Woodgrain embossing folder.

My second card features another one of this month’s fun and unique die sets – Spin Cycle!

TE March 2017 Release

Although my washing machine is white, I’ve long admired red washing machines and dryers (and they are on my dream home list). Given that papercrafting is one way in which I create my dream world, I decided to make a red washing machine! I paired the assembled machine with a heat-embossed sentiment from Spin Cycle Sentiments and accessories from Little Bits – Laundry BasketLittle Bits – Clothing Confetti and Sitting Pretty. There are a lot of possibilities with this set, and you’ll see a number of interpretations from the design team.

Penny Black Simplicity – A Day of Loveliness

Today, I’m sharing a CAS friendship card created with Penny Black supplies.

Penny Black Simplicity 40-469 Hydrangea

I stamped the 40-469 Hydrangea image using different colors of Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Shaded Lilac, Salty Ocean; I combined inks on the stamp before stamping) three times, rotating the image each time.

I stamped a sentiment from 30-353 Words of Kindness and added butterflies cut from cardstock, to which I’d applied Distress Inks, with a die in the 51-132 Flights of Fancy set.

I hope you’ll head over to the Penny Black Simplicity blog where I am sharing a different take with the 40-469 Hydrangea stamp.

Hoot Hoot Hooray

Hello! Today I’m sharing a CAS birthday card created with Taylored Expressions supplies. I’m always in need of birthday cards, no matter what the season.

Taylored Expression Hoot Hoot Hooray

The Hoot Hoot Hooray stamp & die combo makes for quick card making!
I stamped the images and colored them with Copic markers. I used the Clarity Brushes to apply Distress Inks on a watercolor panel, on to which
I stamped the sentiment. I added a frame cut with the Stitched Frame Stacklets 1 set for visual interest. I cut the images with their coordinating frames and added them to the scene with foam adhesive. I attached a piece of Woodgrain Textured cardstock to the card base for the background.

Penny Black Simplicity – Sunny Wishes

Hello! Today I’m sharing a CAS friendship card created with Penny Black supplies. It was so relaxing to watercolor bright flowers given the rain and overcast we’ve been experiencing here in the Pacific Northwest.

PB Simplicity Sunny Wishes

I stamped and heat-embossed one of the images from the 30-346 Perfect Pairing stamp set on Arches watercolor paper and colored it with Zig brushes and Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors. After the panel was dry, I stamped a sentiment from 30-344 Sunny Wishes and adhered the panel to an A2 card base.
