Reverse Confetti Birthday Gift Box

Today, I’m sharing an easy-to-create birthday gift box project featuring several Reverse Confetti stamp and Confetti Cuts sets.

GiftBox1

I had in mind gift packaging for a child, and the monkey from Monkey Business was my starting point. To begin, I cut orange cardstock with a pillow box die and stamped on it repeatedly (and in a random fashion) with the monkey, using orange ink for a tone-on-tone background.

GiftBox2

I created a tag from two pieces of patterned paper with the Folded Tags Confetti Cuts (I cut both patterns with the die and adhered them together). I stamped the cake from Later Alligator, colored it with Copic markers and cut it with its coordinating Confetti Cuts die. I added it to the front of the tag and added a stamped sentiment from the Folded Tags Sentiments set to the inside. The tag is tied onto the pillow box with twine.

Avery Elle Tweet Tweet Thanks

I’m sharing a Thank You card featuring the birds from Avery Elle’s Tweet Tweet set paired with a sentiment from Many Thanks.

Avery Elle Tweet Tweet Thanks

On a previous project, I colored the birds, stamped on kraft cardstock, with Prismacolor pencils. For this card, I stamped the birds and colored them with Copics, then used their companion dies to cut them out. I created a window with the partial die cut technique I used on this card, and then stamped the sentiment underneath. I cut the panel with the Pierced Rectangles set. To create the background for the window, I blended a combination of Distress Inks. Once finished, I felt that the colors overpowered the birds, so I covered the background with vellum.

Penny Black Simplicity – Vintage Birdcages

Today, I’m sharing a “just because” card featuring the Penny Black #51-141 Vintage Birdcages die cut set.

SweetBirdCages

To begin, I watercolored swatches for the birdcages using Distress Inks. While the swatches dried,  I sponged Tumbled Glass Distress Ink through one of the patterns on the #25-014 Oscillations stencil on to white cardstock for a subtle background. I stamped a sentiment from the #30-297 Sprinkles and Smiles set onto the panel. I cut the birdcages with the #51-141 Vintage Birdcages from the watercolored paper and from white cardstock. I adhered the two together for extra depth and adhered them to the white card panel. As a final touch I added a bird cut with the #51-094 Tweets set.

Lawn Fawn Thanks with Stitched Leaves

Today, I’m sharing a project showcasing the Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves dies.

LawnFawnThanksStitchedLeaves

I used Peerless watercolors to color watercolor paper in a variety of reds and greens. Once dry, I cut the leaves with several of the Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves dies. I cut the Thanks sentiment twice from dark brown cardstock.

I used a Sizzix die set to create the scallop-edge frame. I attached the leaves to the card base (some directly and others with dimensional adhesive). Once finished I decided the card needed some sequins (from a now-retired Lawn Fawn package) in autumn colors! The scallop frame was attached to the card base with dimensional foam adhesive.

Reverse Confetti – Mixed Media Faith Bookmark

Today, I’m sharing a mixed-media, faith-based bookmark featuring one of the sentiments from the Reverse Confetti God Is Good set.

FaithBookMark

Both Reverse Confetti God Is Good and Walk By Faith stamp sets can be used for Bible journaling. I don’t own a Bible with a journaling margin so decided to make a bookmark.

To begin, I applied three colors of Peerless Watercolors to watercolor paper and then die cut a large tag out of the watercolored paper. I stamped the sentiment and added clouds and a sun die cut with the Weather It Together Confetti Cuts set. The sun was also colored with Peerless watercolors. To finish I added ribbon that I dyed with Distress Stain.
