It’s o”fish”al!

Today, I’m sharing an ocean-themed card in tropical colors with another punny Reverse Confetti sentiment paired with Confetti Cuts.

To begin, I cut the waves with the Doin’ the Wave Confetti Cuts set in three cardstock colors and layered them together. The heart was cut with Love Note. (I cut a string of hearts with the die then put the cut piece back into the die and cut again, which cleanly cut off one of the hearts.) The fish were cut on my Silhouette. The heart and fish are attached to the waves with dimensional adhesive.

ColourQ #277

I’m playing along with ColourQ #277 with a Reverse Confetti sentiment stamp and RC Confetti Cuts.

I’m a big fan of red and gray together. The addition of the pink and coral was a combination I’ve never considered!

I combined one of the sentiments from the Reverse Confetti Sugary Sweet Sentiments set with a soda bottle shape I cut on my Silhouette and embellished with hearts from the Donut You Know Confetti Cuts set. The large heart on the bottle was cut with Love Note. I cut a few hearts with the die then put the cut piece back into the die and cut again, which cleanly cut off one of the hearts.

Penny Black Simplicity – Love Balloons

Today, I’m sharing a Valentine’s card created with two Penny Black dies – 51-052 texting and 51-004 uplifting.

I cut various shades of pink and red cardstock with the heart die from the 51-004 uplifting set. I cut white cardstock with the love die, in the 51-052 texting set, twice. I attached white thread to the back of the heart die cuts with double-sided tape, leaving the covering on the top until I had the die cuts laid out on the panel in the desired design. Hearts on the top of a cluster were attached with dimensional adhesive for depth. When the hearts had been attached, I gathered the thread and bundled them with another thread. I glued the bundle together with Glossy Accents. Once dry, I attached the love sentiment over the knot and thread bundle.

Colour Me Striking

Today, I’m playing along with the Colour Me Challenge.

Even though the color scheme feels “Fourth of July” (or any other patriotic holiday) I thought it would be fun for a Valentine’s Day card. With one of the punny sentiments from Reverse Confetti Sugary Sweet Sentiments set as my starting point, I cut two suckers with my Silhouette and decorated them with hearts cut from Love Note, keeping in the color scheme.

The bow was cut using a die in the Tagged Tote Confetti Cuts set.

ColourQ #275

I’m playing along with ColourQ #275 with a Reverse Confetti sentiment stamp and RC Confetti Cuts.

I really like stretching my color preferences with these challenges. The navy and pink combination feels preppy to me (Lily Pulitzer), and it was those two colors I wanted to use most on the card.

I added accents of the Wisteria Wonder with the hearts and the tag circle. I cut the hearts by first cutting five hearts with the Love Note die, then putting three hearts into the die and cutting again, which cleanly cut off two of the hearts. The arrow was cut in half and taped to the back of the tag.

The card measures 4 1/4″ square.
