Today I’m sharing a CAS friendship card featuring an umbrella die cut against a background created with a raindrop stencil and embossing paste.
After stamping the card base, I applied embossing paste, which I colored with Salty Ocean Distress Ink, through the Raindrops stencil (I selectively masked off portions of the stencil so that the umbrella would appear to be keeping the sentiment dry. Once the embossing paste dried, I adhered the umbrella die cut. The canopy of the umbrella was cut from cardstock which I had colored with a combination of Distress Inks (reds and a little yellow) for a different project.
