Taylored Expressions Feb 2018 Release – Bunny Hop

Hello! Welcome to Day 1 of the Taylored Expressions February 2018 Release Sneak Peeks. This spring- and Easter-themed release is filled with new goodies! Mark the date – the products will be released Thursday, February 8 @ 7 AM PST!

My first card features the Block Party – Bunnies die paired with the Little Bits – Marshmallow Bunny die and a sentiment from the Squishy Hugs set.

Taylored Expressions Feb 2018 Release

I cut the Block Party – Bunnies three times to create a panel on to which I added the bunnies cut with the Little Bits – Marshmallow Bunny die. I cut a frame with a die in the Frame in Frame Cutting Plate set to cover the edges. I heat-embossed the fun Squishy Hugs sentiment and added it to the bottom of the frame. The card base was covered with one of the fun patterns in the new patterned paper package Playful Patterns – Sweet.

My second project today uses the Bunny Pop die to dress up lip balm. I have several variations. Let’s take a look!

Taylored Expressions Feb 2018 Release

My first version shows the simplest way to use the die for lipbalm packaging. I simply cut the bunnies out of colored cardstock and the scallop piece from Sugar Cube cardstock.

You can also stamp cardstock with a background stamp, which I did with Happy Flowers, or dry-emboss the cardstock, as I did with the On the Spot folder.

I also used the Playful Patterns – Sweet patterned paper to create the bunnies.

Finally, I stamped a sentiment from the Quick Critters – Spring Stamp & Die Combo to show how easy it is to add a sentiment.

Taylored Expressions Aug 2017 Release – Halloween Treat Packaging

Hello! Welcome to Day Three of the Taylored Expressions August Sneak Peeks. Products will be in the store tomorrow – Thursday, August 3 @ 7 AM PST! Today, I am sharing two Halloween packaging projects.

My first project uses the Coffin Treat Boxes. The set includes five black and five metallic boxes, ready to assemble.

Taylored Expressions August 2017 Release

The fun begins with decorating these easy-to-assemble boxes! I used the From the Crypt – Creepy set to cut the overlay (in both black and silver) and the Label Stacklets 11 set to cut the patterned paper, which I used behind the overlay and inside the boxes. I stamped a sentiment from the Mum’s the Word Stamp & Die Combo set and cut it with a die in the Tag Stacklets 3 set to create a tag. Of course, you don’t have to add a tag or tie the boxes up with twine, but I thought it would be fun to show that option.

The boxes are generously sized for Halloween treats!

My second project is a set of Halloween treat tags (I used them for cellophane bags filled with Smart Food popcorn) created with the Build a Tag 2 and new Halloween supplies.

For all of the tags, I heat embossed a Simply Said – Halloween sentiment and cut it with the banner in the Build a Tag 2 set. I dry-embossed the tag set’s scalloped pieces with the Subway Tiles embossing folder. I varied the colors of the sentiment strips and tags for variety, embellishing the tags with pieces cut with the Little Bits – Ornate Frame, Little Bits – CandlelabraLittle Bits – Cat and Sitting Pretty Halloween Accessories die sets. For a little bling I added TE Sequins – Build a Scene Halloween.

Make 2017 Fun! – TE Build a Scene Calendar

Hello (and Happy Halloween)! Welcome to Day One of the Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks. With the winter holidays just around the corner, this month’s release features products designed for creating handmade gifts! The November products will be released Thursday, November 3 @ 7 AM PST!

Today, I’m sharing several themed pages from my 2017 5″ x 7″ calendar, as well as gifting and display options for the pages. By personalizing a calendar, I can create cheerful and meaningful scenes to mark the days in 2017!

TE November 2016 Release

I used the Build a Scene – Calendar – 5×7 die set along with the 2017 5×7 Calendar to create the pages.

For January, I added Copic-colored Critters on Ice to the scene. Just because the winter holidays are over doesn’t mean that the snow and ice are gone! I wanted January to be cheerful! The ice? That’s an oval from this release’s Build a Scene – Calendar 2 die set.

TE November 2017 Release

For February, I featured the Crafty Grumplings. I imagined my sons working on their handmade Valentine’s Day cards (possibly making a bit of a mess), and at the same time, cabin fever setting in for everyone involved.

For March, I featured Copic-colored cows created with the If Cows Could Talk Stamp & Die Combo. It’s my oldest son’s birthday in March and this trio of cows is so much fun.

Gifting the calendar? The twelve pages fit in a perfectly-sized clear box.

And to display the individual pages? There’s a tabletop 5×7 Acrylic Frame.

Reverse Confetti Crazy for Christmas: Gift Giving

Welcome to the second day of Reverse Confetti Crazy for Christmas – an event to provide ideas and inspiration for the holidays! Today we’re featuring Christmas Gift Giving projects! I’ve included a list of everyone sharing ideas today at the end of the post.

For my first project, I created a tag with the Gift Card Holder Tag decorated to look like Santa’s suit.

GiftGiving1

I added a heat-embossed sentiment from the Tinsel ‘n Trim set and buttons cut with one of the Hang Ups die. I also attached a die-cut “Ho Ho Ho” conversation bubble (using the Jolly Holiday stamp set and coordinating die) to the gift card. The gift underneath is a coloring book, and I plan to include either an envelope with cash for art supplies or an art supply store gift card.

GiftGiving1CloseUp

My next project is a tag for the coffee lover on your list, created with the partial cutting technique and one of the dies in the Caffeinated Cups Confetti Cuts set.

GiftGiving3

I cut the cup out of a folded cardstock rectangle leaving a section on the left-hand side intact. For the interior, I stamped a sentiment from Tinsel ‘n Trim on red cardstock with white pigment ink and cut it with the coffee cup wrap die included in the Caffeinated Cups Confetti Cuts set.

For the exterior of the tag, I stamped the Caffeinated Cups stamp set images, cut them the coordinating dies and attached them to the front of the white cardstock tag. I used the Hang Ups Confetti Cuts to create a tab on the back through which I strung the baker’s twine.

GiftGiving3CloseUp2

I also created an up-cycled gift tag for coffee using a Starbucks holiday cup.

UpcycledCoffeeTag-2

I cut the coffee cup with the Caffeinated Cups Confetti Cuts die and added latte art from the Caffeinated Cups stamp set. I created the tag with the Gift Card Holder Tag from patterned paper. I cut the coffee cup with the Hang Ups die set, through which I strung cord to tie around the coffee bag. This tag took just a few minutes to put together!

My last project is a tag for individually wrapped cookies featuring a heat-embossed sentiment from the With Love set.

I embellished the tag, cut with the Thanks Tag Confetti Cuts, with die cuts from the Holly set. This one is easy to mass produce.

There’s lots of inspiration being shared today by the design team, check it out!

Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks! The November products will be released on Thursday, November 5 @ 7 AM PST.

My first project features a gift tag with a sentiment from the new P.S. You’re Welcome stamp set. Our family has a long-standing tradition of gifting handmade items during the holidays.

JeanManisNOV2015HandmadeGiftTag

I created the tag with the Build a Tag 4 set to match my framed cross-stitch gift. The tag base was dry-embossed with the Braided Embossing Folder, to which I attached the heat-embossed sentiment. I finished the tag with die cut Holiday Charms, cut from Sweet Basil, Cherry Pop and Dijon cardstock.

JeanManisNOV2015HandmadeGiftTag1

My second project features one of the Keep In Touch Watercolor Panels. I colored the pre-printed panel with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.

WatercolorPanelwithEnvelopeandSeal

Once dry, I adhered the watercolored panel to a slightly larger panel cut from watercolor paper, and then to a Plum Punch panel, which I dry-embossed with the Braided Embossing Folder. I’ll send this card in a bright yellow envelope sealed with a sentiment from Sealed With Love stamped on the Envelope Seals that are part of the November release. The Sealed With Love set includes stamps suitable for the holidays and many other occasions. I plan to stamp the “Be Merry” and “Happy Holidays” sentiments  in white ink on kraft seals for my holiday cards.
