Spellbinders | A Ghostly Twist

Hello! Sometimes the best card ideas come from looking at supplies in a new way. I thought it would be fun to pair supplies from Spellbinders, a ghost with a house die set originally designed for Christmas. I’m sure I’m not the first to turn this townhome into a haunted house, but it was such a delight to see how easily it shifted seasons. A BetterPress sentiment finished the scene.

You can see the Christmas card created with the City Holiday set HERE and the card with the Boo Crew set HERE.

- Cover a 5″ x 7″ card base with patterned paper. (I used a piece from the Simple Stories Spooky Things pad.)
- Cut the City Holiday building and cat from a variety of cardstock colors and assemble.
- Cut the ghost from a variety of cardstock colors and assemble.
- Press the sentiment in black on white cardstock and cut with the coordinating die set.
- Add assembled house, ghost, and sentiment to the prepared card base.

Hero Arts | Hocus Pocus Collection

Hello! Halloween crafting doesn’t always have to be spooky—it can be sweet and playful, too! Today I’m sharing a card I created with the Hero Arts Hocus Pocus Collection. Using the Boo to You die set along with the Scattered Stars stencil set, I put together a cheerful Halloween design. The smiling ghosts and the BetterPress sentiment “You’re Wicked Cute” bring a lighthearted twist to the season’s festivities, perfect for sending smiles instead of scares.

- Stencil a purple cardstock panel with the Scattered Stars stencil set using white ink, VersaMark ink, and gold paste for the three layers. Allow each layer to dry before applying the next one. Once the stenciling is complete, add to an A2-size card base.
- Press the sentiment on white cardstock with the set. Cut with the coordinating die.
- With the Boo to You die set, cut the ghosts, hat, and broom from cardstock. Assemble.
- Add ghosts and sentiment to the prepared card base.

Hello! Halloween will be here before we know it. I’m getting a head start on spooky crafting with a die-cut-only card made using the Boo Crew set by Simon Hurley, which features three playful ghosts, each with a distinctive personality. This whimsical die set is part of the Spooktacular Collection from Spellbinders and includes everything you need to build a charming Halloween scene—no stamping required! The set is relatively simple to assemble, making it a great choice for new cardmakers looking to create something fun and festive for Halloween.

- Create an A2-size card base and cover with patterned paper. It’s easy to change up the look just by swapping in different patterned papers, making it versatile for a variety of Halloween styles.
- With the Boo Crew set, cut ghosts, their accessories, and sentiment from a variety of cardstock colors. Assemble.
- Add elements to card base with glue and foam adhesive.

Hero Arts | Halloween Gallery Wall

Hello! If you’ve ever thought about decorating a gallery wall for Halloween, why not bring that idea to a handmade card? For this playful project, I used a collection of Halloween-themed dies from the Hero Arts August 2025 Die Set of the Month—Haunted Gallery—to create a wall of framed icons including a witch, her pointy shoe, a ghost, and a curious black cat. The background is an aptly themed patterned paper, and the card is finished with the BetterPress sentiment “Sending Spooky Hugs.”

- Cover A2-size card base with Halloween-themed pattern paper.With the die set, cut elements for the gallery wall from a variety of cardstock colors and textures. I used a restrained palette of gold, silver, black, white, and vellum to keep the design cohesive. Assemble.
- Press the sentiment and cut with the coordinating die.
- Adhere elements to the card base.
