Online Card Classes Copic Markers Class

I’ve been following along with the Copic Marker lessons over at Online Card Classes, practicing when I can. I was enchanted with Debby Hughes’ card in class with the adorable Lawn Fawn dog. I really like Debby’s coloring style.

Day8

It took me four attempts to get her coloring technique down on this image. I stopped at one point to refill the Colorless Blender marker, which is key to getting the colors to blend for her technique. I simplified her design just a titch, but for the most part this is a CASE of Debby’s card.

ColourQ Challenge 261

I’m playing along with this week’s ColourQ Challenge. Another wonderful color combination for the fall!

ColourQ Challenge 261

I used a Lawn Fawn notecard measuring 3 1/2 x 4 7/8 for the card base. The leaves were adhered with dimensional foam to circles which were cut with the MFT Peek-a-Boo die. My original design was going to use the frame from that die, but lining up the three circles seemed too forced and rigid.

The Cutting Edge Challenge #11

It’s time for the another Cutting Edge Challenge! Our inspiration this week is an amazing card created by Design Team member Melania Deasy.

I was drawn to the theme and colors in Melania’s inspiration, creating a similar card using the Polaroid die from the MFT Stamps set.

I used the camera to cut the Lawn Fawn patterned paper three times. I also cut a larger circle out of the same papers to put behind the lens opening in the camera. I cut a square piece out of the patterned paper and inserted it into the slit in the bottom camera to replicate a Polaroid image.

We’d love to have you play along! Head on over to The Cutting Edge Challenge blog where you’ll find inspiration from other members of the team, the rules and regulations, and the InLinkz tool for you to link up your project!

Supplies:

End of Summer – Relax!

Today I’m sharing a card celebrating summer – the idea of taking a break and relaxing, possibly traveling someplace with palm trees! – featuring new Impression Obsession dies, as well as other dies in my collection.

End of Summer - Relax!

I cut the Woody multiple times with a variety of cardstocks including woodgrain, birch and vellum, to provide texture and color. The sentiment is from the Taylored Expressions’ Hangin’ Out – At the Beach stamp set.

Supplies: Impression Obsession Woody with Surfboard and Palm Trees; Lawn Fawn Spring Showers; TE Build-a-Scene – Rolling Hills dies and  Hangin’ Out – At the Beach stamp set

Halloween “BOO”

Today, I’m sharing another Halloween card, which I created with products I already have in my stash. This is a new idea for me – to first see what I’ve already got before buying more!

Paper Smoochs Halloween "BOO"

I’m mixing dies from a number of different companies. The tree is from Paper Smooches. I plan to use it again for a fall-themed card. The hill die is also from Paper Smooches. The bats are from a now-retired Memory Box set. The moon was created with a Spellbinders circle die.

I considered stamping a sentiment, but in the end, I decided to use the Lawn Fawn alphabet. The tree, bats, and letters were all die cut twice and adhered together for extra depth.

Supplies: Lawn Fawn Cole’s ABCs; MFT Blueprints 13; Paper Smooches Seasonal Tree, Borders 1; Memory Box Bats
