My Favorite Things – Another CAS Nautical Card

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a card showcasing the My Favorite Things You Float My Boat stamp set – nautical, CAS, and in my favorite summer color scheme.

MFT Stamps - CAS Nautical Card

Because of the size of the sailboats, I decided that a square card would work best for the design. The outer dimension is 4 1/4″ square and the interior square, cut with the largest die in the Small Dotted Square Stackables set, is 4″ square. The boats were stamped on the MISTI because the individual stamps for the boats (mast and hull, flag, and sails) require careful alignment! The Memento Luxe stamps work well for coverage with the solid stamps.

My Favorite Things – Nautical-Themed CAS Card

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS, nautical-themed card featuring supplies from My Favorite Things.

MFT Nautical

I have had the Hot Cocoa Cups in my die collection for a while now (purchased for a winter-themed project) and thought it would be fun to turn them into nautical-themed coffee cups. The standalone anchor die in the recently released You Float My Boat die set fits perfectly!

I stamped the sentiment from the You Float My Boat stamp set with a navy ink from Impress Stamps. To add subtle texture behind the mugs, I added embossing paste using the Tim Holtz Faded Dots Stencil. The patterned paper is from the Carta Bella Ahoy There paper pad (released several years ago).

Warm Winter Wishes: Merry Monday Challenge

Merry Monday Challenge #214

I’m playing along with Merry Monday #214 whose theme this week is “Warm Winter Wishes.” The temps have turned chilly here in the PNW on this first day of fall, making it easy to think about cozy things!

Merry Monday #214

My card showcases the My Favorite Things Warm & Fuzzy die set which I purchased after the holiday season last year. Kraft and red is one of my favorite Christmas color schemes and feels cozy to me! I used the We R Memory Keepers Wood Grain embossing folder whose larger size allowed me to dry emboss with a horizontal wood grain. I’ve yet to get the Lawn Fawn Argyle Backdrops set put away since I keep using the same sentiment!

Shore Do Love You!

Today, I’m sharing a “just because” nautical card!

Shore Do Love You

The buoy is cut with the CottageCutz Life Preserver Die. This is a “new to me” company which has a number of nautical-themed dies. They provide quite a bit of detail (for example, while you can’t see it, the rope is textured). I stamped the background with the My Favorite Things Wood Plank Background (you can never have too many wood-textured backgrounds!) and then cut it with one of the Lawn Fawn dies.  I used a die in the My Favorite Things Die-namics Blueprints 20 set to cut the heat-embossed sentiment (Reverse Confetti Happy Harbor). I’m on the hunt for more nautical sentiment sets (I have many more nautical dies than nautical sentiments).

Supplies: CottageCutz Life Preserver die, Reverse Confetti Happy Harbor stamp set (retired)

Floral Appreciation Card

The sun is out here in the Pacific Northwest and spring is definitely just around the corner. For the card I’m sharing today, I combined Distress-inked die-cut pieces with a Paper Smooches sentiment to create an appreciation or friendship card.

I even Distress-inked the turquoise strip onto which I heat-embossed the sentiment.

Have a wonderful weekend!
