Repetition in Design: Trio of Tropical Birds

Hello! Today I am sharing another card created with the Small Die of the Month kit from Spellbinders – “Tropical Friends.” I previously shared a card created with the kit HERE. On this card, I am embracing the design principle of repetition. Note: the sign-up window for new club subscriptions closes on the 27th.

- Dry-emboss a 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ (slimline size) Peridot cardstock with the Puff Dotty folder. Add to card base.
- Press the Always and Forever sentiment with Cosmic Sky ink on Snowdrift cardstock. Cut with the die in the set. Add the sentiment to the card front with foam adhesive.
- Cut birds and foliage with the Small Die of the Month kit from a variety of cardstock colors. Assemble. Add elements to card front with dot and foam adhesive.

Spellbinders | Tropical Flamingos

Hello! Today, I am sharing a friendship card featuring two lovely flamingos in a tropical scene – created with the Spellbinders May 2024 Large Die of the Month Club Kit “Grand Tropical Flamingos.” The subscription sign-up window for Spellbinders club kits is now open! - To create the card background, dry-emboss a 5″ x 7″ Waterfall cardstock panel with the Deco Holiday folder. Add to a card base.
- Cut Fresh Picked sentiment from Snowdrift and white glitter foam. Adhere together with cardstock in front and set aside.
- With the Large Die of the Month Club Kit, cut flamingos and floral items from a variety of cardstock colors. (I fussy-cut the feathers on the flamingos.) Assemble.
- Add elements to card base with dot and foam adhesive. Embellish with teal enamel dots.

Spellbinders | Tropical Friends

Inspired by the colors and the beauty of the tropics, I have crafted a friendship card with the Small Die of the Month kit from Spellbinders called “Tropical Friends.” This set includes some super cute tropical birds! Note: the sign-up window for new club subscriptions opens on the 6th of each month and closes on the 27th.

- Dry-emboss a 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ (mini-slimline size) Chamomile cardstock with the Tiny Dots folder. Add to card base debossed side up.
- Press the Always and Forever sentiment with Mermaid Lagoon ink on Snowdrift cardstock. Cut with the die in the set. Add the sentiment to the center of the card front with foam adhesive.
- Cut birds and foliage with the Small Die of the Month kit from a variety of cardstock colors. Assemble. Add elements to card front with dot and foam adhesive.

Spellbinders BetterPress Congratulations

Hello! Today, I’m excited to share a colorful balloon congratulations card created with the Spellbinders BetterPress Happy Hooray Balloons set. I previously shared a birthday card with the same set HERE. The set includes mylar printed registration templates, along with plates and banner dies, making it easy to create a multi-color letterpress design. You can also download the registration template (to be printed at home) HERE.

- With the registration template in place, press the balloons and strings with Tiger, Taffy, Azure, and Black ink on an A-2 panel using the Happy Hooray Balloons set. (I used two shims for the balloons and one shim for the strings.) Add the pressed panel to an A-2 card base.
- Separately, press the “Congratulations” sentiment portion in Black ink and cut with the banner die in the Happy Hooray Balloons set. Add to the card with foam adhesive.
- Embellish with stars cut from white glitter foam with dies in the Merry Mug Creations and Gnome Drive Holiday sets. I have a number of sets which include star dies that I regularly grab to create embellishments.

Thank You Card with a Needlecraft Twist

Hello! Today, I am sharing a thank you card that combines the Deluxe Caboodle Value Club exclusive “Pins & Needles Sentiments” die set with the Spellbinders April 2024 Large Die of the Month Club Kit. You can see the friendship card I created with the Large Die of the Month Club Kit – “Pins & Needles Jar” – HERE.

To create the card background, add a 5″ x 7″ panel of textured pin cardstock to a card base.
Cut Large Die of the Month Club Kit and sentiment items from a variety of cardstock colors and patterned paper. Assemble as required.
Add the assembled jar to the background. Fill with the assembled items. Embellish with enamel dots for additional texture.
